The battle for the promised land is the battle for Eden.
The Area bounded between the Egyptian Nile River and on through the land of Israel to the the Euphrates River was the area that Abraham was promised and this same area is ‘the Land of Eden’, the land between the Rivers.
Even though the topography of the area changed after the Flood we know enough from scripture to categorically confirm the location of Eden. A few hundred years or so after the Flood there was another judgement due to the rebellion at the Tower of Babel of the ‘United Nations’ of the time against God’s commandment to go forth and multiply. They wanted to build a city and tower to heaven. This resulted in the dispersion of the nations after the confusion of tongues (languages). About this time the topography was further altered in the days of Peleg when the earth was divided, Genesis 10:25. And so there is an earthly land of Eden here still today, but the topography has changed.
There is also an aspect of Eden that is heavenly. What is described here is Eden on the earthly plane. There will be a day when the separation between the Earthly and Heavenly spheres breaks down and we have heaven on earth, a restored Eden. Of course that will take the events of the tribulation and the return of Yeshua to bring this about.
This is Greater Israel promised to the Patriarchs and this is the literal land of Eden.
Some of the clues from scripture that the promised land is Eden, is as follows;
- Two of the four Rivers of Eden are known by the location of their namesake in scripture, Gihon and Euphrates.
- The trees of the Garden of Eden are alluded to in the design of Israel’s temple which is in Jerusalem which is on the western edge of the land that Abraham traversed.
- The promised land is compared to Eden.
- The Land and Temple are the centre of a Cosmic Dispute.
Genesis 2:10-14
וְנָהָר יֹצֵא מֵעֵדֶן
לְהַשְׁקֹות אֶת־הַגָּן
וּמִשָּׁם יִפָּרֵד וְהָיָה
לְאַרְבָּעָה רָאשִֽׁים׃
שֵׁם הָֽאֶחָד פִּישֹׁון
הוּא הַסֹּבֵב אֵת כָּל־אֶרֶץ הַֽחֲוִילָה
אֲשֶׁר־שָׁם הַזָּהָֽב׃
וּֽזֲהַב הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא טֹוב
שָׁם הַבְּדֹלַח וְאֶבֶן הַשֹּֽׁהַם׃
וְשֵֽׁם־הַנָּהָר הַשֵּׁנִי גִּיחֹון
הוּא הַסֹּובֵב אֵת כָּל־אֶרֶץ כּֽוּשׁ׃
וְשֵׁם הַנָּהָר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי חִדֶּקֶל
הוּא הַֽהֹלֵךְ קִדְמַת אַשּׁוּר
וְהַנָּהָר הָֽרְבִיעִי הוּא פְרָֽת׃10 And a river went out of Eden
to water the garden;
and from thence it was parted,
and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison:
that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah,
where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good:
there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon:
the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel:
that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria.
And the fourth river is Euphrates.
The Land of Eden before & after the Flood

Genesis 11:1
וַֽיְהִי כָל־הָאָרֶץ שָׂפָה אֶחָת וּדְבָרִים אֲחָדִים׃
The word translated as ‘language’, שָׂפָה, comes from the word meaning ‘lip’.
H8193 שׂפת שׂפה śâphâh śepheth saw-faw',sef-eth'
(The second form is in dual and plural); Probably from H5595 or H8192 through the idea of termination (compare H5490); the lip (as a natural boundary); by implication language; by analogy a margin (of a vessel, water, cloth, etc.): – band, bank, binding, border, brim, brink, edge, language, lip, prating, ([sea-]) shore, side, speech, talk, [vain] words.
The same word is translated as ‘border’ in Exodus 28:26, 39:19, and Judges 7:22. And it is translated as ‘shore’ in Gen 22:17, Ex 14:30, Josh 11:4, 1Sa 13:5, 1Ki 4:29, 9:26.
So Genesis 11: 1 ‘the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech’ could equally be translated as saying ‘the whole earth was of one COASTLAND, and of one speech’. That is the power of Hebrew, it can be saying a number of things at different levels. Translators have to pick one word to translate it. So the study of Hebrew is not a wasted effort if we can begin to see the depth of the language.
Scientists are often no friends of the truth of biblical creation and the historical account of the flood do in fact believe that the earth’s continents were once joined together. They call this one COSTLAND ‘gondwanaland’ or ‘pangea’. But according to them it took millions/billions of years for the continents to drift apart. But the bible says that it happened very quickly.
In the days of Peleg we are told that the earth was divided. This was after the incident of Tower of Babel.
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg;
Genesis 10:25
for in his days was the earth divided;
and his brother’s name was Joktan.
וּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד שְׁנֵי בָנִים שֵׁם הָֽאֶחָד פֶּלֶג כִּי בְיָמָיו נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יָקְטָֽן׃
So there we go, the earth was divided during the lifetime of a man named Peleg. That’s very fast indeed! One of the ways this would have been brought about could be the expansion of the earth, just like a balloon is blown up. The tectonic plates that the continents are on would crack and drift apart. This must have been a terribly violent period of history. This cataclysm occurred at a time when mankind was in rebellion to the creator at the tower of Babel, that is, Babylon.
We are on the cusp of renewed volcanic and earthquake activity as the world heads towards godless world government, World War 3 and the return of the lost tribes. It seems spiritual things and natural things are more intimately related than scientists could acknowledge or even understand. As Israel comes together the earth comes into the birth pangs of the Messiah.
Two of the Names of the Rivers survive
Two of the rivers survive today, one above ground and one below.
“the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.”
“the fourth river is Euphrates”
Euphrates
We know where this river is since its namesake exists today and it is marked by the location of Ancient Babylon in the modern day nation of Iraq. Babylon was where the Jews were deported to for 70 years and the majority remained there (a bit like the Jews in New York today!).
Babylon was famous as the place of mankind’s first rebellion after the flood where they decided to build a tower to heaven. And it was also the place for the ‘hanging gardens’ of Babylon which remind us of the garden of Eden. This is now conincidence since Babylon is on one of the rivers of Eden, the Euphrates.
The Euphrates River marks the eastern end of the ancient land of Eden. The next river that we look at marks the more western end. Of course there are another two rivers whose exact location is still contested. Perhaps though the River in Egypt, the Nile is one of the other two rivers mentioned in Genesis, maybe the River Pison. The river of Egypt marks the western most boundary of the land allotted to Israel. And so the Nile also marks one of the borders of the land of Eden. We know that the other unknown river, ‘Hiddekel’ is ‘that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria’ which would place it in northern Iraq somewhere. Where it is exactly is open to debate.
The land that Abraham walked around was promised was the land of Eden. His journey from Ur of the Chaldees along the fertile crescent along the Euphrates and into Canaan and later into Egypt marks the border of the land that the children of Israel will ultimately possess. This is greater Israel and this is the land of Eden. Ezekiel 48 describes the allotment of the land of Israel in the Millennium under Yeshua HaMashiach.
Gihon
The Gihon River which went around the land of Cush is strangely clearly located in modern Israel as we shall see. Cush is apparently in Ethiopia. It could be that that is the source of the Gihon. But it is now subterranean and winds it’s serpentine path directly under Jerusalem.
Let’s look at the Gihon River and where the name is mentioned elsewhere. In the time of King David and Solomon a small stream that came up from underground was called the Gihon.
1 Kings 1:33,38,45
33 וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לָהֶם קְחוּ עִמָּכֶם אֶת־עַבְדֵי אֲדֹנֵיכֶם וְהִרְכַּבְתֶּם אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹה בְנִי עַל־הַפִּרְדָּה אֲשֶׁר־לִי
וְהֹורַדְתֶּם אֹתֹו אֶל־גִּחֹֽון׃
38 וַיֵּרֶד צָדֹוק הַכֹּהֵן וְנָתָן הַנָּבִיא וּבְנָיָהוּ בֶן־יְהֹויָדָע וְהַכְּרֵתִי וְהַפְּלֵתִי וַיַּרְכִּבוּ אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹה עַל־פִּרְדַּת הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִד וַיֹּלִכוּ אֹתֹו עַל־גִּחֹֽון׃
45 וַיִּמְשְׁחוּ אֹתֹו צָדֹוק הַכֹּהֵן וְנָתָן הַנָּבִיא לְמֶלֶךְ בְּגִחֹון וַיַּעֲלוּ מִשָּׁם שְׂמֵחִים וַתֵּהֹם הַקִּרְיָה הוּא הַקֹּול אֲשֶׁר שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃33 The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:
38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.
45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard.
This place Gihon was a spring. Later King Hezekiah rerouted the Gihon spring.
2 Chronicles 32:30
וְהוּא יְחִזְקִיָּהוּ סָתַם אֶת־מֹוצָא מֵימֵי גִיחֹון הָֽעֶלְיֹון וַֽיַּישְּׁרֵם לְמַֽטָּה־מַּעְרָבָה לְעִיר דָּוִיד וַיַּצְלַח יְחִזְקִיָּהוּ בְּכָֽל־מַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃ 30 This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

We know from scripture that when Yeshua returns he will set foot on the Mount of olives and the land will be divided and a river will flow out. This is an underground river which where the Gihon went after the days of Peleg when the earth was divided. Now part of the River resurfaces again when Messiah returns.
Zechariah 14:4,8
וְעָמְדוּ רַגְלָיו בַּיֹּום־הַהוּא עַל־הַר הַזֵּתִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם מִקֶּדֶם וְנִבְקַע הַר הַזֵּיתִים מֵֽחֶצְיֹו מִזְרָחָה וָיָמָּה גֵּיא גְּדֹולָה מְאֹד וּמָשׁ חֲצִי הָהָר צָפֹונָה וְחֶצְיֹו־נֶֽגְבָּה׃
וְהָיָה בַּיֹּום הַהוּא יֵצְאוּ מַֽיִם־חַיִּים מִירוּשָׁלִַם חֶצְיָם אֶל־הַיָּם הַקַּדְמֹונִי וְחֶצְיָם אֶל־הַיָּם הָאַחֲרֹון בַּקַּיִץ וּבָחֹרֶף יִֽהְיֶֽה׃4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
This river actually has its beginning at the temple according to the prophet Ezekiel.
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
Ezekiel 47:1
As we read on through the chapter the trickle of the stream turns into a large river that goes down into the dead sea and causes fish to live there once more.
The Trees of the Garden of Eden & the Temple

In Genesis chapter two we read;
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Genesis 2:8
וַיִּטַּע יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים גַּן־בְּעֵדֶן מִקֶּדֶם וַיָּשֶׂם שָׁם אֶת־הָאָדָם אֲשֶׁר יָצָר׃
Adam here is actually called ‘The Adam’, את־האדם. We are told that all Israel is Adam so there is a symbolic prophetic aspect to this narrative. Adam had been created and formed elsewhere and then he was placed in the Garden of Eden. Just as Israel grew and multiplied in Egypt and were further shaped in the wilderness and then placed in the Promised Land, so was Adam formed elsewhere and then placed in the Garden. The same idea is repeated where the stones of the temple were quarried and cut to size away from Jerusalem and then placed there later. Soon the ten lost tribes of the House of Israel will be regathered also and placed in the Garden of Eden, the Promised Land.
Adam was driven out of the Garden of Eden and so too was Israel driven out of that same Promised Land due to disobedience also. In the book of Daniel we see that the wicked gentile kingdoms that oppose Israel are likened to frightening beasts. And these beastial kingdoms shall contend with Israel for the land. Ultimately during the travail of the events of Revelation Israel will triumph through Messiah Yeshua. Unlike the beastial nations, Israel is likened to Adam who is made in God’s image. Israel is Adam and Israel is to return to the land of Eden, the Promised Land.
Of course not all Israel is Israel (Romans 9:6). Ultimately only the children of Israel that keep the commandments of YHVH and the testimony of Yeshua are the true Sons of God. And there are also people from the beastial nations that are spiritually Israel, which is the remnant of the seed of the woman (Revelation 12:17).
The temple is also symbolic of the Israel which is the race of Adam (HaAdam). And within the future temple there will be tapestries of palm trees and cherubim that link the bride of Messiah to the Lion of the tribe of Judah. And this imagery symbolises the garden of Eden.
Ezekiel 41:18-20
וְעָשׂוּי כְּרוּבִים וְתִמֹרִים וְתִמֹרָה בֵּין־כְּרוּב לִכְרוּב וּשְׁנַיִם פָּנִים לַכְּרֽוּב׃
וּפְנֵי אָדָם אֶל־הַתִּמֹרָה מִפֹּו וּפְנֵי־כְפִיר אֶל־הַתִּמֹרָה מִפֹּו עָשׂוּי אֶל־כָּל־הַבַּיִת סָבִיב סָבִֽיב׃
מֵהָאָרֶץ עַד־מֵעַל הַפֶּתַח הַכְּרוּבִים וְהַתִּמֹרִים עֲשׂוּיִם וְקִיר הַ̣הי̣כָל׃18 And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces;
19 So that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.
20 From the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple.
You will remember that there were Cherubim in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 3:24
וַיְגָרֶשׁ אֶת־הָֽאָדָם וַיַּשְׁכֵּן מִקֶּדֶם לְגַן־עֵדֶן אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִים וְאֵת לַהַט הַחֶרֶב הַמִּתְהַפֶּכֶת לִשְׁמֹר אֶת־דֶּרֶךְ עֵץ הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
In Ezekiel chapter 31 we are given a greater glimpse of what Eden is really all about. It is actually the heavenly court. The trees are symbolic of Angelic principalities.
Ezekiel 31:9
יָפֶה עֲשִׂיתִיו בְּרֹב דָּֽלִיֹּותָיו וַיְקַנְאֻהוּ כָּל־עֲצֵי־עֵדֶן אֲשֶׁר בְּגַן הָאֱלֹהִים׃ I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.
This physical world is the spiritual outworking of an ancient controversy in this throne room between the Angels that rebelled against God and those that were true to him. Just as God has his chosen and elect men and women, so too does He have elect angels. And the reverse is true also, there are vessels chosen for destruction (Romans 9:22). Vessels that are corrupt and cannot receive the light of Torah or the testimony of Yeshua. We are told that if an earthen vessel is contaminated it is to be shattered (Leviticus 11:33). As it is in the earthly realm so it is the spiritual dimension also.
The Promised Land is compared to Eden
The scripture does not compare the land of Israel with Eden just to be poetic. It is stating a fact. The promised land of Israel is the land of Eden because it is bordered by the rivers of Eden as already discussed.
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden,
Isaiah 51:3
כִּֽי־נִחַם יְהוָה צִיֹּון נִחַם כָּל־חָרְבֹתֶיהָ וַיָּשֶׂם מִדְבָּרָהּ כְּעֵדֶן
and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
וְעַרְבָתָהּ כְּגַן־יְהוָה שָׂשֹׂון וְשִׂמְחָה יִמָּצֵא בָהּ תֹּודָה וְקֹול זִמְרָֽה׃
Ezekiel 36:35
וְאָמְרוּ הָאָרֶץ הַלֵּזוּ הַנְּשַׁמָּה הָיְתָה כְּגַן־עֵדֶן וְהֶעָרִים הֶחֳרֵבֹות וְהַנְשַׁמֹּות וְהַנֶּהֱרָסֹות בְּצוּרֹות יָשָׁבוּ׃ And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
Joel 2:3
לְפָנָיו אָכְלָה אֵשׁ וְאַחֲרָיו תְּלַהֵט לֶהָבָה כְּגַן־עֵדֶן הָאָרֶץ לְפָנָיו
וְאַחֲרָיו מִדְבַּר שְׁמָמָה וְגַם־פְּלֵיטָה לֹא־הָיְתָה לֹּו׃A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them,
and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

Genesis 3:14
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶל־הַנָּחָשׁ כִּי עָשִׂיתָ זֹּאת אָרוּר אַתָּה מִכָּל־הַבְּהֵמָה וּמִכֹּל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה עַל־גְּחֹנְךָ תֵלֵךְ וְעָפָר תֹּאכַל כָּל־יְמֵי חַיֶּֽיךָ׃

A primitive root; to gush forth (as water), generally to issue: - break forth, labor to bring forth, come forth, draw up, take out.
Leviticus 11:42
כֹּל הֹולֵךְ עַל־גָּחֹון וְכֹל הֹולֵךְ עַל־אַרְבַּע עַד כָּל־מַרְבֵּה רַגְלַיִם לְכָל־הַשֶּׁרֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵץ עַל־הָאָרֶץ לֹא תֹאכְלוּם כִּי־שֶׁקֶץ הֵם׃ Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
The clean and unclean food laws allude to spiritual things as well as natural. In this way Satan the serpent can be compared to an abomination because he too was cursed to slither on his belly in the Garden of Eden. He opposes the children of God before the throne of God day and night (Revelation 12:10).
Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He is a Lawyer as in a court of law. Now maybe you can see why Yeshua had such a problem with lawyers and religious people in general. Law and Religion is Satan’s number one game. Indeed his beginnings were that of royalty as chief cherub that covereth. He was of the Serephim class of serpent like beings. He was a sort of Levitical Priest and Levitical choir master rolled into one. But Satan is the Accuser of the brethren and He does this duty with malice. He is not cast out of heaven for being a good lawyer. He is wholly evil. He is a twisted Levitical priest. Indeed that is what the name Leviathan means, Levi-Dragon.
The confrontation between Moses and Aaron verses Pharaoh and His enchanters takes on deeper meaning when we consider that symbol of the staff of Aaron turning into a serpent. Here we see the Priesthood of Levi opposing the priesthood of Leviathan in symbolic form. Pharaoh is a symbol of Satan or the Antichrist or Amalek because he opposed the God of Israel, Moses and Aaron and the people of Israel. Pharaoh’s enchanters turned their rods into serpents to contend with Aaron. However praise YHVH the rod of Aaron which became a serpent/dragon ate Pharaohs rods that became serpent/dragons. This shows the superiority of Levi over Leviathan’s seed and by extension all Israel over all the pagan nations of the world. And of course the priesthood of Yeshua is of a higher order still (Hebrews 7).
Unlike a Levitical priest that had 12 stones on his breastplate, Satan only had 9 stones.
Ezekiel 28:13
בְּעֵדֶן גַּן־אֱלֹהִים הָיִיתָ כָּל־אֶבֶן יְקָרָה מְסֻכָתֶךָ אֹדֶם פִּטְדָה וְיָהֲלֹם תַּרְשִׁישׁ שֹׁהַם וְיָשְׁפֵה סַפִּיר נֹפֶךְ וּבָרְקַת וְזָהָב מְלֶאכֶת תֻּפֶּיךָ וּנְקָבֶיךָ בָּךְ בְּיֹום הִבָּרַאֲךָ כֹּונָֽנוּ׃ Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
It is at the heavenly throne that Satan opposes Israel as a crooked priest. And he opposes believers in general. Just like Pharaoh opposed Moses and Aaron.
The temple in Jerusalem is the physical location of the throne of God on the earthly plane (dimension). It is the physical footstool. It is the physical temple counterpart to the heavenly temple just as the earthly Jerusalem is the physical counterpart to the heavenly Jerusalem that is the mother of true spiritual Israel.
Path of the Sun & the Milky way
The courtroom drama in the Heavenly court is depicted in the stars.
The path of the sun through the stars as observed from the earth passes through the 12 constellations of the Zodiac which represent the 12 tribes.
There is another much larger belt of stars which are simply the Milky way galaxy as seen from earth.
These form a giant encircling fish or serpent when viewed from earth (as in the picture above). This is called the ‘Ouroborus’ and is often pictured as a Dragon devouring it’s tail.
This is a picture of the seed of the Serpent (Satan/Leviathan).
If you compare the milky way with the zodiac you will notice that the milky way (seed of the serpent) is much more highly populated with stars (for now) in comparison to the relative sparseness along the ecliptic (the suns passage through the 12 signs of the zodiac). This is a picture, a parable in the stars showing the broad way that leads to destruction. The 12 tribes of Israel however are sparse in comparison but eventually they shall become as numerous as the stars of heaven as the good Lord promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Ouroborus or Milky Way Galaxy symbolically represents the gentile nations under the control of the serpent in opposition to the God of Israel and Messiah Yeshua. Collectively they form ‘Leviathan’. Leviathan represents Satan and his seed. Leviathan is mentioned in Isaiah and in the book of Job.
In creating maps of the earth or the heavens you are trying to depict a spherical image as a flat surface. You have to stretch a three dimensional depiction of the stars over a 2 dimensional canvas. The above distorted picture shows the relative position of the Zodiac signs as traced by the path of the sun (ecliptic). You can see clearly that they are not in the same area as the grey shaded milky way main belt of stars. The Milky Way and the Zodiac sort of form a figure eight. They intersect at two places. One of them is the area between Sagittarius and Scorpius. This is the part of the milky way depicted as the head of the serpent devouring His tail in the picture further up the page where the serpent is a yellowish colour. This all has prophetic meaning. The other intersection is the Area between Taurus and Gemini.
The Milky way is sometimes referred to as the ‘river of life’. It really is better represented as the River of Egypt, the Nile. This river did provide life for the Egyptians. And Egypt is a picture of the Pagan world in opposition to the God of Israel. It is ruled by Pharaoh. The river is populated with crocodiles. Both are symbolic of Satan. The Lord said that he would kill Egypt’s firstborn, including the son of Pharaoh The Lord Yahweh brought out the 12 tribes of the children of Israel from Egypt with a mighty hand through Moses and Aaron. The ‘river of life’ was turned to blood, Pharaoh lost his first born (like Satan will lose His Son, the Anti Christ when Yeshua returns in power and glory).
If there is repentance then there is also forgiveness. Thankfully the Lord can also heal the waters including the Nile. If the Nile is indeed one of the four headwaters mentioned in Genesis chapter 2 then it will be healed. Indeed it forms one of the natural borders of Israel. We know that the Lord will judge the nations and separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep and the goats (Matthew 25:31-46). So not all the stars in the milky way will die and the river of Egypt once healed, will once again be a river of life (as are the other 3 rivers that actually flow from the throne of God).
Anyway to summarise things, the two 12 tribes of Israel are represented by the 12 signs of the Zodiac and they are the Kingdom of Light. They are in the path of the Sun. The Milky Way Galaxy / Ouroborus is the Kingdom of Darkness (even though for now it is brighter, having more stars).
These two encircling Kingdoms can be depicted as two intersecting rings (technically called the Vesica Piscis).
Seed of the serpent & Seed of the woman (12 tribes of Israel) Depicted in the Stars
The Holy of Holies of the temple in Jerusalem, Israel is the centre of the cosmic conflict between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. And just as Satan the Serpent was cursed to slither on his belly (Gihon) so he would slither into the Holy place where the Gihon spring will emanate so that he can place His son in the Holy place proclaiming himself God through the image of the beast. Thus Satan slithers through the temple along the gihon river upon his gihon (belly). But after he has defiled the temple through the Antichrist he shall have his comeuppance when Yeshua returns and he is bound for 1000 years during our Lord’s glorious reign.
The Holy Temple is actually the physical nexus between two worlds, and two seed lines, between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. This is why there has always been a gentile involved with the building of the tabernacle (Bezaleel) and the later temples (Hiram king of Tyre and then Herod the Edomite). This is why the Freemasons are obsessed with building the temple, many of them are from Edom by blood and they are the seed of the serpent. Of course Bezaleel was a righteous man, a descendant of Kenez. He also is a picture of the Messiah. His name literally means ‘in the image of God’. So there can be some gentile converts from Edom that are true believers. But they have to turn their back on their dark occult tendencies. Even if there are righteous Edomites helping to build the temple, their descendants will eventually revert to their old ways. So the third temple is in the sights of Edom and his Freemasonry.
This does not mean the temple is evil any more than it means Jerusalem or Israel is evil. It just means that it is ground zero in the cosmic turf war. However when the temple becomes defiled with evil then it becomes a tool of evil also. But the corporate sin of Israel and the priesthood that leads to the temples defilement will also lead to the temple’s destruction. The Lord told Aaron that He and His sons would bare their iniquity (Exodus 28:38). The temple is not a means of national salvation, righteousness is. The temple is established through righteousness by God’s grace to Israel. If the temple is in the midst of Israel it is a symbol of God’s blessing and the center of the spiritual life of the nation. Torah and good government are intimately connected with its correct operation. This is why Satan is out to defile it. If He can possess the temple he can possess, pervert and then replace the priesthood and Kingdom and pervert and destroy Israel and then the nations and the entire universe.
The Battle for the Promised Land
Thus it should not be any surprise that the fact that Israel exists at all at the centre of the promised land is a real problem and vexation for the nations. Because the battle for the promised land is the battle for Eden!
The present regathering of the Jews to the land is in unbelief and rebellion to the Torah and Messiah Yeshua. But the birthpangs of the Messiah shall bring a remnant of Judah back to Torah and then to the Messiah, Yeshua. And it will not be a corrupt form of Christianity that the Jews follow with its Sabbath breaking, pagan feasts and Torah disobedience.
Then the lost tribe remnant will be gathered in with the Messiah Yeshua himself
orchestrating it from above because He is YHVH.
The temple will be rebuilt. The Levitical Priesthood will be raised supernaturally by Yeshua (see the article, the ‘Raising of Lazarus HaCohen’ for details.) King David himself will be raised to reign over the reunited two houses of Israel. David of course will reign under Yeshua who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Most believe that David will be raised with the rest of the Old Testament saints at the end of the tribulation when Yeshua returns. These shall be guests at the Wedding feast of Messiah.
However the raising of David (and the Tabernacle of David that is fallen) is associated with the regathering of the lost tribes of the House of Israel. There may be the re-establishment of the Davidic throne with a descendent of King David upon it when the lost tribes return before the tribulation (after world war 3) and then David himself will reign over Israel under Messiah during the Millennial reign after the tribulation. Or the resurrected King David himself will reign before the tribulation at the time of the return of the lost tribes.
In any case we are on the cusp of the events which will see both the decimation of the world and much of Jewry and the lost tribes, Christendom, Edom and Islam etc through world war 3. The battle now is the Battle for Eden. And the seed lines of Israel and the wicked nations will be much more obvious after the smoke clears. World war 3 will be followed by the building of the temple in righteousness followed at a later stage by its destruction through wickedness. (Every temple has been established in righteousness and destroyed through wickedness of Israel). Eventually the Antichrist shall sit in the holy place of a defiled temple. The true ground zero in the world is the Holy of Holies in the physically rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. And from there, the Gihon river will flow once more to water the most holy part of the land of Eden, Israel.
