Introduction

There are many positive things to focus on in this parsha, Jacob and his family is finally safe and reunited. Jacob get’s Joseph back and adopts his two sons Ephraim and Manasseh before he dies and blesses them. He blesses all the sons and prophecies what shall happen to them in the last days. However I want to focus on the fact that Jacob dies, and then Joseph. And they die in Egypt. We know that when blindness is removed from Jacob it shall be life from the dead. There is a general resurrection that occurs when Michael fights for Israel in Daniel 12 & Revelation 12.

But before this there is a great deal of death that comes to the seed of Israel in the last days due to wickedness, Isaiah 17:4. I want to warn my readers that it is not just amongst those of Jacob that forget God, but it also includes those that are religious but lukewarm or unloving. The Lord is going to remove the fig leaves and reveal hearts at his second coming, just like Joseph did. Even before His return for the remnant of Jacob there is going to be a cutting down of Jacob and Joseph’s seed in particular. Jacob and Joseph both died in Egypt. What does this imply for the last days before the second exodus? And how do we stack up in terms of readiness for these end time events. How deeply do our roots go into Messiah. How faithful are we really. The Lord tells us that He will leave us a ‘very small remnant‘, Isaiah 1:9. What is going on in ‘our Egypt’s‘ right now that is directly related to this pasha, ‘Vayechi‘? It may surprise some that what is going on amongst many messianic folks these days is directly related to this parsha and what happened in the Garden of Eden.

We know that Joseph was terribly persecuted, betrayed, deeply hurt and offended but he forgave & continued to love. He wanted reconciliation and salvation for his brothers, not vengeance and death. Now let’s look at our experience amongst the various messianic type folks and congregations. I know there are good apples but there is some pretty rotten fruit also. So I ask, do we follow Joseph’s example or do we easily get offended and want to beat others with our tongues if they disagree? Can we share ‘the truth‘ in love without passing judgement on people? Do we care for people? To put it bluntly, do we want to judge or do we want to wash feet? Yeshua our Lord, the only one that ever kept Torah completely, came to serve. Do we have the same servant attitude? What is really in our hearts? Do we really love? The Hebrew word for ‘love‘, ahava, ืื”ื‘ื”, has the letters of the word for ‘Father‘, Av, ืื‘. If we canโ€™t love our brothers then do we really have the Father? Do we really have Messiah? ‘Messianics‘ should be people that know and follow Messiah according to Torah. If they follow Messiah they should be like Him and be marked by a deep love for one another and their fellow man. The picture above tells us what Messianics should do even while they argue doctrine and sort things out. Let us love one another! Let us Pray for one another and wash each other’s feet. We may differ on all sorts of details but are we patient and kind or are we impatient and cranky? Has ‘the truth‘ blinded us to a ‘deeper truth‘, a ‘heart truth‘, are we too proud to Love? Do we have a forgiving heart and a brokenness over sin. Are we truly humble? Will we serve our brother or sister even if wronged by him or her? Are we more about ‘being right‘ than about worshipping and serving Yeshua? Joseph forgave his brothers, do we? Do we care about people’s souls? Do we truly love God? Do we truly fear God?

Do we know the times we are living in? Do you know that what happened in Egypt is being repeated in our day? Jacob died in Egypt, are we seeing spiritual death, not only in Christendom but in the Torah movement in the ‘Egypt of our godless nations‘? Are many messianic Torah keeping folks not only no better than Christians in the obedience department, but are they actually worse? Are Jacob’s sons dying spiritually in their fleshy carnality. Have we instead become proud and angry ‘little gods‘ with ‘very short fuses‘? Are we easily provoked and triggered? What tree are we eating from and from whose hand are we taking it’s fruit? What is the fruit of our faith? Is there love, joy & peace? Do we follow Torah in the spirit of Messiah or the spirit of Satan?

We should not be complacent, judgement is coming even as the events leading to Word War 3, the firstfruits rapture and the ‘2nd Exodus‘ gather pace. Have many hearts within the Messianic movement gone cold. Have their hearts, like Nabal the fool, turned to stone? Will many Messianic folks actually embrace the ‘man of sin‘ and persecute the true bride due to their religious pride and the blindness of their carnal nature? Will many die needless deaths because of deep rooted sin dressed up for the Sabbath? Are we truly connected to the vine, or have we gone astray in the garden of God? Satan used the word of God to hurt others. Do we hate more than we love? Are we eating forbidden fruit and the bitter poison of asps? How does our testimony truly taste in the mouth of God?

We are told about Jacob in this weeks parsha, by its name, ‘Vayechi‘, ื•ึทื™ึฐื—ึดื™, that ‘he lived‘. But then we read later that Jacob died in Egypt. And the last verse of the parsha, Joseph died too and was embalmed like his father.

Are the majority within the Messianic movement about to die and be embalmed in ‘our Egypts’ before the 2nd exodus due to carnality and deep wickedness in our deceitful & very religious hearts?

…bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:

Genesis 47:29

Knowledge & the Serpent of Self

It is very easy to see the faults in others or their doctrine but it is often harder to see the log in our own eye. We are told to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith, II Corinthians 13:5. This is the very chapter that tells us what love is. Love is in short supply in this world, and it is critically missing amongst many that claim to follow Torah. Not all, but many. Many amongst the Torah following community seems to have the most difficulty displaying love. But they do not have a problem displaying pride or judgement.

The ‘Lord’ ื™ื”ื•ื”, is gracious and kind towards us, far more than we deserve or understand. In His grace He gives us enough rope to either save ourselves or hang ourselves. Truth needs to be spoken in the spirit of meekness with a loving heart. It is very easy to slip into the carnal nature within all of us and react to someone and say things that are true but in an unloving way. That is why we are instructed by the Apostle Paul as follows…

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 4:15

Paul knew what it was to contend for the faith, and he knew that in meekness he had to gently reason with people.

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

II Timothy 2:25

God brings men to repentance not us. We can humbly present facts in shalom, and hope that they are received and considered. But we are not to proudly present them and react in angst if they don’t get it! We should constantly be in on guard to the flesh within ourselves. And what do we do when people are offended by what we think? Or how do we react if we are offended? How do we react to mocking or full on persecution? Are we humble lambs or proud goats? Do we bring the aroma of Messiah or do we react carnally? We should be in a state of communion with Yeshua and prayerful. We should be leaning on the Lord and not upon our self will wrapped up in religious vestments as we seek to ‘contend for the faith‘, Jude 1:3. I have had to learn this the hard way. And I am still learning.

In this week’s Torah portion we find Jacob blessing Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, and then all 12 tribes, just before he dies. Before he takes his final journey from this world Jacob instructs Joseph to bury him in the promised land, and He binds Joseph with a solemn oath, in a similar way that Abraham got his Servant Eliezar to swear, via his thigh. The thigh represents the promised seed of God, His people Israel. So Jacob returned to the land of promise a dead man, as did Joseph later on. This also is symbolic of the Exodus and the 2nd Exodus. Jacob dies in Egypt. Jacob’s death in Egypt is symbolic of his seed dying spiritually in our exile just before they return.

Our western ‘Laodicean generation‘, is very self satisfied, self willed and self reliant. God has graciously awoken many to the Torah and the Sabbath etc, because He is awakening a nation called ‘Israel’, specifically the 10 lost tribes of Israel. Some have come from a sleepy christian faith and into a vibrant and revitalising revelation of the Torah. With joy they have mined the truths within and have begun to discover the depths of God’s word and the Covenant.

But then there have become disagreements and contentions about details such as calendars, names and any number of things. Now this is where our spiritual immaturity begins to undo the good that the Lord God began. Because carnal Christians have now become carnal Messianics. In other cases some on fire believers have come onboard but have since lost sight of the heart of the law, which is mercy. They have lost sight of our need for humility. We have got head knowledge without heart knowledge. In our lust for understanding we have stumbled and become puffed up and contaminated by an unclean and proud spirit. We are like Eve in the Garden of God, we are eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, we are seeking knowledge while actually breaking Torah. How do we break it? By wicked attitudes of the heart towards others. Torah shows us good and evil. If we are full of hate instead of love we are deceiving ourselves. We are corrupting ourselves and being puffed up instead of truly being instructed. If we are not humbly gaining understanding from the Lord with a contrite spirit then we will instead be eating the truth from the hand of Satan in Pride. The serpent is killing us because we are hating instead of loving. We are vengeful instead of forgiving. We show through our lack of patience with one another our spiritual immaturity. Pride and self will have raised their heads. Yes there are disagreements but what Spirit are we in?

Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Proverbs 13:10

And so it should be as no surprise where we find ourselves within the messianic movement, we see the seed of Jacob dying spiritually now in our exile, despite discovering the Sabbath, Feasts and who we are! Of course we see Christendom in apostasy everywhere but surely the Messianic movement will awaken all to the truth and then we can conquer our enemies and all go home. But it’s not working out that way is it? Jacob is dying. The head is informed but the ego is puffed up, and the heart is made sick. Torah knowledge for those puffed up by it are actually moving away from Yeshua and from one another. Torah knowledge is causing alienation rather than connection, hate instead of love.

We see the 10 lost tribes awakening to their identity but we also see them fighting and hating one another. Love and unity is in short supply. Wickedness is growing everywhere. The Spirit of Satan is working in our uncrucified flesh. The law that is good is being used by the dragon to kill because we are immature and like Eve, we are eating the knowledge in the Spirit of Satan.

9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

Romans 7:9-11

The Torah is not at fault, but the sinful nature within us. Read Romans 7.

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Romans 7:12-14

We have turned a blessing into a curse because we are all about being right and justifying ourselves, instead of prayerfully seeking the Lord and bringing our interpretations humbly to folks. When they don’t think or do what we think they should then we judge them. There is a great deal of judgement in the Messianic community. Judgement of others in a harsh way. And that puts us into very dangerous ground. We have been warned by our Lord.

We have heard the above verse so many times, but do we take it to heart? By nature we are quick to judge. But where is forgiveness? Are we praying for our brother? Do we truly care for their soul, or do we merely care for ‘the truth‘? Look, we may be right. ‘Our truth‘ could actually be correct, it could actually be ‘the truth‘. But there is a deeper issue here. Are we speaking the truth in love, Ephesians 4:15? God is love remember? Are you upset with me for saying God instead of Elohim. I read the bible in Hebrew everyday. I read ื™ื”ื•ื” (YHVH) not Lord. But when I write I often use the english words. We can be word perfect. You may be correct concerning spelling and names. But what spirit are we in? I might keep the right calendar or the wrong calendar, I am trying to do what is right. Do you judge me? I may try and eat the right food, but sometimes I might buy something that has an ingredient that is not kosher. We all fail in many ways. The Pharisees managed to exact everything they did but profoundly missed the weightier matters of the Torah, like love and forgiveness.

True ‘judgement‘ contains the ‘love of God‘ and ‘mercy‘ and real ‘faith‘. The heart of the Torah is mercy!

It’s very easy to get ‘pissed‘ with one anther, especially if the other guy is ‘wrong‘. But are you filled with the Holy Spirit or with yourself? Whether wrong or right are you all in your head? What is in your heart towards the other person? Are you a judge? Are you a little ‘god‘? Are you ready to be judged? Hate is easy. Love is hard. Love cost Joseph something. What a terrible thing it is when anger, hate and impatience and pride are called ‘Torah obedience‘ and ‘righteous indignation‘ when in fact they are ‘just part and parcel‘ of the ‘works of the flesh‘, Galatians 5:19. How do we deal with one another’s faults? If we correct one another in the right spirit then there is peace in our hearts. But if we are judging others then do not be surprised if anger and rage are not far away. So are we who have awoken to ‘the truth‘ actually undoing the truth by relegating kindness, love and forgiveness as less important? Do we care for the soul we are disagreeing with? What Spirit are we truly in when we defend the ‘truth‘?

By judging others we have put ourselves in the place of God?

And so the very poison of the lie in the Garden of God is being worked out in us.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Genesis 3:4-5

The bible tells us that the Lord made Moses a ‘god to Pharaoh‘. Moses was invested with the authority of Elohim.

And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: <ืึฑืœึนื”ึดื™ื ืœึฐืคึทืจึฐืขึนื”>
and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

Exodus 7:1

But notice that Moses did not make himself a god or a judge over Pharoah. The Lord ื™ื”ื•ื” made him an Elohim, a god, a judge. This is like the authority of the angels, the Sons of God. This is like the authority that Adam would have had, had he not fallen.

Now however we have Messianic’s walking in the flesh, and judging others as little gods, little Elohim, when God has not called them to judge, but to love. They have taken the forbidden fruit in the garden of God, they think they are like God knowing good and evil. But they are actually breaking Torah as they judge others. They are judging other believers who are the sons of God. They, like Lucifer have exalted their throne over the stars of God, Isaiah 14:13, through their self appointed contentions for the truth. This is how knowledge can be harmful to ourselves. We could be right, but wrong at the same time because love is off the table and being right is paramount.

We have to guard our hearts from the bate of Satan. We need to speak the truth in love. And be far more prayerful and guard our hearts and even consider other’s higher than ourselves! Even if they don’t get what we get (understanding).

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Philippians 2:3

True Torah obedience is humble not proud. Proud Messianics do not keep Torah, they break it at it’s very root. Even the Lord is humble.

Yeshua said that we would learn of Him when we take on His yoke. Are we learning of Him? Are we growing closer to Him? His yoke is easy! Are we learning of Him or just learning facts in order to slay our brother if he does not agree or understand? What spirit are we of? Even the disciples wanted to judge and destroy. They wanted to do this for the Lord!

54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

Luke 9:54-55

Now the two witnesses in Revelation 11 call down fire, but there is a difference. They were given that job by God, they didn’t just decide to do it without authority from the Lord. Many messianic folk have taken it upon themselves to do the same with their tongues, to judge, to burn people at the stake so to speak. But the Lord has not given them sanction. They have taken it upon themselves. Like Eve, they know better because they know good and evil. They have unwittingly become self appointed judges and ‘little gods‘. We have to be in the right spirit.

The spirit of the Torah is easy in Yeshua. But Torah knowledge outside of God is full of pride and hate when the source is the ‘spirit of pride’ and Satan where self is actually on the throne!

In contrast Moses who gave the Torah was humble!

(Now the man Moses was very meek,
above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Numbers 12:3

Moses saw God face to face. Do we?

If we follow the Torah of Moses are we marked by humility as he was? Are we of ‘broken and contrite hearts‘? Sadly in contending for ‘truth‘ many have forgotten to love and are on the highway to hell if they do not repent. We must guard our hearts from the snare of the devil, pride, the original sin. Has our ‘Torah obedience‘ actually become overgrown with the weeds of self will, pride and hatred? Have we become no better that ‘whited supulchres‘, are we in danger of becoming graveyards instead of rose gardens? What spirit are we in when we content for the truth? If we are humble then the Lord is more likely to help us. Sticking our chest out and puffing ourselves up may make us feel better but it doesn’t reach hearts. We are actually pushing God away, because we think we can take it from here. We have to learn to rely on God not upon our own head knowledge and deceitful hearts.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:6

Yeshua is humble. But many in the Messianic movement are proud and they show it through a contentious spirit. They don’t know God! They have gone off the path that leads to life and have gone down to the dark corridor of ‘Torah knowledge‘ and ‘truth‘ without the ‘Spirit of truth‘. They have taken the ‘red pill‘ of ‘truth‘ from the hand of Satan instead of Messiah Yeshua. Their spirit is wrong. They have spiritually fornicated with the Serpent and have become little gods and judges. It’s not the Torah’s fault, it is the deceitfulness of the heart and an unbroken will that will not bend the knee and wash their brother or sisters feet in spirit of meekness and love. You cannot have Torah without Yeshua and love, except in Hell. You will know ‘the truth‘ then. If you do not love your brother you are a murderer!

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

I John 3:15

In the last days we are told that many will kill the Lord’s flock because they think that they are actually serving God. Is this where many in the Messianic movement are going?

We are either going towards the Messiah or the Antichrist, towards the Lord God or a counterfeit and Satan. Do we know the Father? Or are we really just self deluded ‘trippers‘ snorting Satan’s proud & murderous counterfeit spirit under the tree of the knowledge of Good & Evil? I spoke about this a few weeks ago in my article ‘Yeshuaโ€™s 7 Disciples Fishing for the Benei HaElohim‘ when talking about ‘religious fig leaves‘.

The Lord dwells with the lowly of heart.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;

I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 57:15

Satan dwells amongst the proud.

We are seeing the rapid death of Christianity in the USA and her English speaking affiliates including Canada, Australia and New Zealand and of course in the United Kingdom, South Africa & the Netherlands etc. But wherever the lost tribes are we are also seeing a return to the 7th day Sabbath, Feasts and Torah in general amongst a remnant. But without any self denial and spiritual maturity in Messiah, far from bringing life, it is actually bringing death. We are seeing a great deal of carnality within the Messianic movement in general. It seems that many people have received the truth with joy and then used it as a weapon of war in order to slay their brother to prove a point. I am not against healthy debate, but there is very little emphasis on carrying our cross, and much emphasis on ‘being right‘. Many people are forgetting to love one another, the very thing that Yeshua prayed would be a mark of His own blood bought bride.

Do we display the self sacrificing spirit of Yeshua. Or are we filled with the ‘spirit of Satan‘? There is but a tiny remnant that is truly broken and contrite.

We will be known as disciples of Yeshua, by one feature alone. Our Master said so plainly. Torah knowledge is not mentioned. Bible scholarship is nowhere to be found. These things are important, but they do not come close to what will mark us as His People! One thing alone counts! Love! What caused Joseph’s brothers to sell him? A lack of love? What caused the religious system of Yeshua’s day to crucify Him? A lack of love, mixed with Satanic pride, the very cruel and loveless thing that fills the messianic movement to overflow. What should have been a blessing, studying the word and discovering it’s depths has become a weapon in the hands of cold, hard and increasingly high minded and loveless men and women.

Do we truly belong to Yeshua or are we really just the world and the seed of the serpent? Yeshua prayed for His own, He did not pray for those that were not His!

If we truly belong to Yeshua then we will hear His voice. He will keep us. And we will humble ourselves and learn our lesson.

It’s all about oneness through connection to Yeshua & the Father. If we are of Him, then we should be one with Him and one another. The word of God will set us apart to be holy unto Him. But the same word will puff up make believers.

So if we say “we follow the truth“, the question is, are we truly listening? What is the fruit of it? The Torah is actually separating the messianic bride from the messianic whore. Are you a ‘Proud Torah NAZI‘ or are you a ‘Humble Torah obedient Bride‘? What spirit are you of? Who truly is your Father?

I would like to state clearly that I am not arguing against following the Hebrew Calendar or following the commandments. I am not judging others but if the Lord has revealed to you the truth of the Sabbath and feasts and calendar then stick with it. I believe that the Torah, Sabbath and feasts are absolutely essential for the 10 lost tribes to remember as we prepare for the return of our Lord Yeshua and the 2nd exodus. The Sabbath is a sign between our Father in Heaven and Israel, Exodus 31:13. They are a means for Ephraim to be identified.

However if we do these things without Love then we turn something that would be a joy to our Father in Heaven to something He hates for the reasons I have already given. Truth becomes a lie without love. God is love. The Ruach HaKodesh is about humility & shalom not pride, contention & angst.

The 2nd exodus is coming. How many Messianic folks will die needlessly because they hated their brethren and judged them. How many are no better in heart than Joseph’s brothers when they betrayed him, being filled with hate and loathing? If we want to reach our christian brothers and sisters with the truth, we will reach them with love if we will reach them at all. We may plant seeds with people that will germinate later. Some will only understand these things when the tribulation comes and that is just how it is. If we are truly filled with light then people will be drawn to us because of the Love we have for one another. Let’s get back to Yeshua and keep the feast, but not with the leaven of malice or hypocrisy, I Corinthians 5:8.

Let us stand for the truth, and contend for the faith. But let us do it in humility and love. Let us not shrink from suffering. When cursed, let us bless. Let us rather suffer for doing good instead of using truth as a weapon to bludgeon people.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

I Peter 3:10-12

Returning to the promised land is like Adam returning to Eden. What tree are we eating from? What fruit are we displaying? Is shalom and meekness the vibe we give off and send forth or is it angst? If we gave a smell to Yeshua, would it be a sweet aroma of apples or the stench of rotten eggs?

The reincorporation of believing Israel as a nation is life from the dead, Romans 11:15. Unlike the current state of Israel gathered in unbelief, the near future prophesied return of Israel is closely related to the resurrection. In Daniel 12 we read of a general resurrection of the dead, both good and evil, at the time that Michael fights for Israel which dovetails with Revelation 12 where Michael is fighting the Dragon and his Angels. This is when the Woman, Zion, the church of the firstborn, leaves Babylon America and elsewhere for the wilderness (before she returns to the promised land for good). So the resurrection happens during the upheaval of the 2nd exodus. Joseph’s bones and Jacob both returned to the promised land quite dead. But we have the possibility of returning there alive. Some may die, but if faithful they will be part of the righteous that are raised during the 2nd exodus. Let’s make sure we are really Yeshua’s humble blood bought people and behave like we ought to.

Joseph was deeply, deeply hurt by his brothers, but he forgave. Look at the fruit of his forgiveness, his brethren were reconciled and saved. But look at the long struggle and testing before their reconciliation. We must be patient and forgiving if we are to reach hearts and win souls. Those that have been awoken to the Torah, Sabbath and Feasts need to show the same forgiving spirit to those around them that do not understand (and many do not want to understand). Love wins souls, not pride (Pride wins proud souls, souls that are on their way to the pit). We are not to be haughty, vengeful and condescending otherwise, not only are we nullifying Torah and behaving wickedly but we are actually in danger of hell fire and eternal damnation. It’s that serious!

We must be Yeshua centred and humble when speaking the truth, speaking it in love, Ephesians 4:15, not with pride, malice or even avarice. Guard your hearts, for out of our hearts come the issues of life, Proverbs 4:23. The two house / hebrew roots / Torah keeping/ messianic movement should be marked by one thing if it truly has Torah. It should be marked by a deep humility, brokeneness over sin, a deep desire to reach the lost, an extreme love for Yeshua and a love for one another that the world talks about. Sadly for the most part the opposite is true. It is marked by pride and contention based on a superficial, surface head knowledge. And it is more noted for it’s lovelessness and condescending attitude. It is a deep disgrace to our Lord and it is marching headlong into the worst possible judgement, the tribulation, death and eternal damnation! To whom much is given, much is required! We have reached the end of Genesis but have we learnt Joseph’s lesson? It seems that like Jacob and Joseph, what began with enlightenment and the Ruach HaKodesh has ended for many in spiritual death and spiritual embalming. Are you the living dead? Or are you full of light?

Let our eyes look to Yeshua and not get puffed up by what we know! Let us humbly keep the Sabbath and feasts with a lowly, down to earth attitude. Let us contend for truth joyfully and walk away from sticking it to people that don’t understand or agree or want to argue. Let’s pray more and argue less. Let our light truly be light and not self delusion and great darkness.

Let’s make sure we are truly the Lord’s people, with the fruit of the Spirit and a humble heart.

Tares destroyed before 2nd Exodus

Our parsha today completes the book of Genesis, next week we begin the book of Exodus in parsha Shemot. There is a much greater exodus coming soon. The 2nd exodus is very near. Jacob is coming home.

The Spirit of the Lord has been awakening a remnant to the Sabbath etc because Ephraim and the 10 lost tribes are awakening. It’s time for us to leave very soon. However much of this revival has been head knowledge and insight into the Torah and feasts etc. Knowledge puffs up. It is easy to be a ‘mind disciple‘ with no real heart repentance, or heart connection to the lamb of God but rather just a shallow keeping of external commandments like the Sabbath. The Pharisees were experts at majoring on minor things and leaving out what really counts as discussed earlier. So the Messianic movement is the perfect place for Satan to sow tares amongst the wheat, people that look and sound the part but are not Yeshua’s sheep. Their intellects have been tickled but they hate the brethren. Satan is a murderer. By their fruit you shall know them.

I believe that the Lord’s patience with carnal men and women and our wicked nations in general is coming to a close. God in mercy will save some while still dealing with sin amongst his people. I believe for many He is about finished with dead Christendom and proud Messianics. God is merciful but a time of persecution, offence, separation, strong delusion and burning is coming.

Are we fruitful trees with good fruit, the fruit of the Spirit? Let’s return to the Holy land alive with Yeshua, holding on to the hem of His garment, instead of going down to hell in a coffin with zitzits in the Spirit of Satan.

We are told that the enemy sowed tares amongst the wheat.

The Pentecostal harvest of wheat is coming soon. Remember wheat bows it’s head at the harvest while the tares stand up tall and proud. Are many amongst the messianic movement tares? A persecuting sword of separation is coming to divide the humble from the proud, mother and daughter, father and son, Matthew 10:34-37. Persecution is painful but it will separate sheep from goats or wheat from tares.

Towards the end of this parsha we read of a ‘threshingfloor‘ of ‘Atad‘, ื”ึธืึธื˜ึธื“. Could this be related to the final wheat harvest on the final Pentecost, amidst massive death amongst the 10 lost tribes due to sin at the time of the 2nd exodus when ‘Jacob‘ returns to the land? Could Atad be related to both wheat and tares? If so then the tares are removed first at the time of the harvest. Let’s keep our head down!

Shalom & Love in Yeshua HaMashiach

I wrote about these issues 13 years ago when I first started this blog. Things have not improved, they have grown much worse. Ephraim and the 10 lost tribes for the most part don’t really want to repent. They turn to Torah, but self is on the throne. Religious pride contains the worst venom. The fig tree is being cursed. Terrible judgement is coming now. Much of Jacob & Joseph will die in ‘Egypt’. Nothing will stop the firestorm of our God’s furious vengeance upon a haughty and sinful religious nation.

  1. Truly, I say to you, among those born of women (of the flesh) there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven (of the spirit) is greater than he. – Matthew 11:11

    1. Well said Dominik.
Everything in the bible states so clearly that the Lord is looking for a humble people, not a proud people. It is all through the old testament scriptures and the new! The Lord is actually looking for a people like Him. As I quoted in the article from Isaiah 57:15.

As well as humility there needs to be watchfulness! Yeshua is looking for a bride that is awake! I feel His coming is very near for those awake. Sadly many of what is called the bride are asleep with no way to wake them except the tribulation. No rapture for a sleeping bride, only tribulation. She will search for Him when tribulation comes.

Song of Solomon 3:1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.

But it will be traumatic searching for Yeshua when believers wake up and the tribulation is all around them. They will be hurt by those that should protect them!

Song of Solomon 5:7 The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.

This is a very, very, very proud & stubborn generation. Such a storm of judgement is coming, just to get the attention of true believers. So few know in their hearts how quickly judgement is about to fall. We can see it coming but it will ramp up suddenly like a tidal wave as it approaches the coastline. Let us all humble ourselves now and seek His face and pray that we would be counted worthy to escape all these things and stand before the Son of Man, Luke 21:36.
