Is the church asleep? Will the bride of Messiah wake up? Are we being set up for World War 3? Have we witnessed Israel’s 9-11? And like 9-11, was it an inside job? I know this may be hard to believe for those that love Israel. There is a great deal of evidence that it was allowed to occur as I will explain, so what is going on? Israel should of course defend herself but did those that rule from Jerusalem allow Hamas to invade? In this article I am delving into Jerusalem as a type of Babylon where the ‘deep state‘ that pulls strings behind the scenes, controls the nation to the detriment of the Jewish people living within it. Are they in peril, not only from Gaza and other hostile nations, but are they in peril from their own Luciferic government, are they being manipulated from within? And is there not only the obvious blood lust and blood guiltiness in Hamas but is Jerusalem spiritually guilty before the Lord also? Although the Lord will preserve Israel, it doesn’t mean that He will not punish her for her sins. Has Jerusalem become spiritually defiled and whored away from the Lord as in days of old? Is the Lord shaking His people to cause an awakening in these perilous times? What does the bible mean when it says Jerusalem shall drink a ‘cup of trembling‘ and become a ‘cup of trembling‘ to all nations? And what does this mean for us in these last days? The main Introduction will follow this preface, because what has just happened in Gaza is hugely prophetic for the year we are entering into and what the ‘cup of trembling‘ means for Jerusalem and for all of us as we wait for the return of King Yeshua and His Kingdom.

Preface on Gaza
Jerusalem is becoming a ‘cup of trembling‘ and there is a relationship between the cup she must drink and that of mystery Babylon and that is the substance of what I want to talk about here. But first I want to mention what has just exploded on the world scene from Gaza as it amplifies the spiritual situation in Israel and Jerusalem. The Lord wants the heart of His people and true repentance. Within Israel there is a small but growing faith in Yeshua. But the modern ‘state of Israel‘ is also a greatly divided and conflicted people that suffer from a strong secular versus religious rift. Israel has both a secular hedonistic LGBTQ+ culture that is opposed to the growing influence of the Rabbinic religious axis. For those Jews that follow Yeshua persecution is increasing from the ultra orthodox and even more moderate factions of Judaism as they view Yeshua and those that follow Him as a foreign threat and not even Jewish! Things are coming to the boil within and without. The Lord also has a controversy with His people. Israel must defend herself, but who is listening to the Lord?
Anyway two weeks ago, just after posting my previous article entitled ‘70 Years until judgement of Jerusalem & Babylon USA?‘, Israel was invaded by bloodthirsty butchers from Gaza on the morning of the 7th of October, a Sabbath, which was the 22nd day of the 7th Hebrew month, Tishrei. At least 1,400 Jews were exterminated in a savage, wicked, demonic and well planned attack. Men, Women and Children were murdered in cold blood for the crime of being Jewish. Babies were incinerated, Women raped, people were decapitated and 200 hostages were taken by Hamas.
Strangely, according to one witness the IDF stood down for 7 hours while this occurred, see, ‘Israel Government Intentionally Let Hamas Murder Its Citizens‘. Apparently a few years ago many of the Jewish inhabitants living near the Gaza strip were disarmed! And recently many of the IDF soldiers that usually guard the Gaza area were moved into Judea and Samaria (the so called ‘West bank’). And all those monitoring the Gaza border somehow didn’t see a thing. Israel is a tiny country, it doesn’t take long to get from A to B. Soldiers could have been sent quickly but hours went by before help arrived. At least some people are thinking.
The immediate knee jerk reaction is to teach Hamas in Gaza a lesson and secure the border and of course that is absolutely necessary. But was this a set up? Has a major spark been lit on purpose by the mystery Babylon elites to help instigate world war 3? Yet God has allowed it, so what is He saying and what is He about to do? What does He want from Israel and what does He want from us? Will the middle east erupt into war and will the world powers be drawn into it? Is Taiwan and China next? Will both Israel and the USA be invaded at the same time? Will this be in 2024? Did top leadership within Israel allow Hamas to invade at this particular time? According to some insiders Israel is not militarily prepared for the fight. However the spirit of the Jewish people has been roused to defend their nation. Why would the top brass allow a successful Hamas attack? Why allow a Pearl Harbour event? Well why did Israel become one of the most heavily jabbed nations in the world?
You may say that it makes no sense at all. But it does make sense if Israel suffers from the same problem that the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and indeed the entire world also have, that is, they too have a shadow government, that has it’s own agenda, a draconian agenda! Most people in our nations are sheeple that have very little spiritual perception of what is really going on, preferring rather to dwell on the surface in flatland and not look too deeply past the appearance of things. They are happy and content in their made up world and don’t want to be woken up. Israeli’s have suddenly found themselves vulnerable, their trust in their perceived ‘iron domed‘ security and preparedness has been severely rocked. My question is, are we next? Is this all about to get seriously out of hand like a line of dominoes? 50 years after the ‘Yom Kippur‘ war, have we entered into ‘Judgement day‘, a time of reckoning for Israel and the world? Is this a ‘Jubilee of Judgement‘ for the majority and salvation for the remnant? Could this also be the ‘year of my redeemed‘ even as the 4 horsemen and death and hell stalk humanity?
What is going on? Well one thing we know now is that we are now living in a seriously destabilised world, the times have changed. Is there a spiritual significance to the date of the attack on the biblical calendar? Israel was brutally attacked by Hamas, not only on a Sabbath, but on the holiest day of Tabernacles, the eighth day, ‘shemini etzeret‘ where Israel is commanded to have a solemn assembly. On the day that Bereshit (Torah portion, lit ‘In the beginning’, i.e. Genesis) is read, we had murder from Gaza and from the ‘deep state‘. Hamas in Hebrew means ‘violence‘ and is used in the bible to describe the state of the world of Noah’s day when the Lord destroyed it by a flood, Genesis 6:11. This murderous spirit was released as we enter the new Hebrew Year. Is this prophetic? Israel was attacked when young Israeli’s were partying like pagans instead of keeping vigil in a solemn assembly. The name of the party was ‘Supernova’! This is the name given to dying star when it explodes. Well that party sure went off with a sick bang, and it may have ignited the entire middle east and the world. Can we wake up in time? Is the party well and truly over? Is the Lord warning His people? Is He warning the world? Most bible believing Christians think that Israel cannot be defeated and the ‘state of Israel’ will triumph no matter what she does because they are God’s people. But is that scriptural? There are prophecies yet to be fulfilled about her desolation in the last days. I suspect we could see Jerusalem surrounded by armies very soon. I believe we shall see a great deal of bloodshed from now on.
Israel has ordered northern Gaza to evacuate as it prepares for an air, sea and ground invasion of Gaza. The USA is sending two aircraft carriers, planes and soldiers. But the Arab nations are not sitting still. Even if they don’t want to fight they are being drawn into a coming fight. Israel may be able to take on Gaza, but can they take on the world. I think that things are different this time. I believe that the Lord is going to allow Israel to survive but also suffer huge losses unless real repentance occurs and quickly. The same goes for the USA and the world. After dealing with Gaza, Israel and the USA may be attacked suddenly. Part of the Jewish State may go into exile as the prophets predict before Messiah Yeshua returns. Is this shaping up to be 2024 or 2025? The USA is in it’s dying breaths as a world power due to moral corruption and perversion. While we wait for what Israel and the USA will do or not do, everybody is getting prepared for a fight. Iran is behind Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Syria and is preparing for war. Iran has missiles and army barracks in Damascus in Syria. Will Israel or the USA attack Damascus as per Isaiah 17, will Jacob be ‘made thin‘? Russia is behind Iran. China is with Russia. If this Hamas incursion had happened a few years earlier, it would not be so pivotal, but things are very volatile now. Now all hell could break loose, both figuratively and literally with all 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse. So has World War 3 just begun? Has the World leaped into a madness that will set the nations on fire? I suspect that we have taken another big dive into that period of time Yeshua spoke of where there are ‘wars and rumours of wars‘, Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7, Luke 21:10. Time will tell if indeed we are in that period of time called the ‘beginning of sorrows‘.
It is being called Israel’s 9-11 event. And I agree, but as stated earlier, I also question the official narrative because Israel’s breach of security from Gaza seemed to have been purposely allowed and planned, also just like during 9-11. Some have said that the IDF and security forces were extremely slow in arriving. The destruction of the police station was near total and reminded me of the destruction of the twin towers that could have only been done with explosives placed beforehand and not by a crashing plane. How did the Palestinians practice their flying and parachute skills beforehand? I believe that this is a real attack, but that forces within the government planned and allowed it as a pretext for war because there is a NWO agenda going on. In my previous article I explained how both the modern ‘state of Israel‘ and the USA are controlled by an unelected ‘shadow government‘. And that the modern Jewish state is not the final regathering of Israel and Judah prophesied in scripture, but it is a regathering in unbelief before the day of the Lord. It is a regathering when she is not right with the Lord. The modern Jewish state has gathered herself together just as the following scripture declares!
1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
Zephaniah 2:1-4
2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you.
3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
4 For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
According to the above prophecy ‘Gaza‘ has to exist as a nation or entity in the last days when the Jewish state of Israel ‘gathers herself together‘ so that at some stage Gaza will be forsaken. Currently Ashkelon and Ashdod belong to Israel, but could that change? Anyway, before Gaza’s final overthrow there are other prophecies about Gaza being used to hand over a future captivity of Israel to ‘Edom‘. This also will happen.
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
Amos 1:6
This dovetails with Edom’s judgement in Obediah. Edom is prophesied to dwell near Jacob, they struggle together. The following verses dovetail with what we just read in Amos and will be fulfilled in these last days.
10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
Obadiah 1:10-11
11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.
In the book of Obadiah Edom exalts that the mountains of Israel are finally his, these are the mountains of Judea and Samaria. Edom’s victory is an empty one, as the moment of his victory is the beginning of his defeat, because it is the Lord’s land, and He is just allowing Edom to gain the upper hand for a moment in order to discipline His people. Both Edom and Gaza shall be judged for the same ‘despiteful‘ attitude.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;
Ezekiel 25:15
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea <Edom>, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
Ezekiel 36:5
Edom is prophesied to serve his brother Jacob. They are in the same lands, like twins in the same womb. Edom is not an Arab nation, Edom is amongst the west, in the christian nations, and a portion of them are mingled amongst the Jews. Edom is white and ruddy, not Arab! Edom is not Ishmael. By nature Edom has a natural hidden hatred of Jacob. Of course anybody can be saved but Edom wants to overturn and rule over Jacob. He can do this when we are lawless and unbelieving.
Not all Edomites are wicked, even as not all Israel are righteous. But Edom tends more to evil and the occult by nature because he was faithless and only interested in this life. They are playing their part in bringing Jacob into captivity. The current ‘state of Israel‘ is being led into a trap, even by their own faithless leaders. Like Saul of old, Benjamin Netanyahu is not ‘a man after God’s own heart‘ like King David was.
Israel must not only defend herself, she must walk with God. The Lord has a high calling for her. God does not want his nation to be a bastion of abortion, gay pride and pagan rave parties or a harbour a cold hatred for Yeshua who is also the Lord! The nations that attack Israel may be more wicked than her in many ways but God often used wicked nations, even very pagan and brutal people to discipline his people when they refused to hear Him. If there is unrighteousness in the nation then Satan has legal ground to overturn it as is the case with the current ‘state of Israel‘ and our own nations. The Jews should defend themselves and prevent Gaza from doing what it does. But what if the Lord also has a controversy with His people, what if He wants to get their attention? I believe Israel is in a very bad place spiritually with the Lord. Satan is planning to do what he always does, lie, steal and kill.
What is happening now in Gaza will lead to many nations condemning Israel. Israel should look to God not man for help. Sadly the nation of Israel will turn to America at a time when it also has become ripe for judgement. This might be the last time American sends ships and aircraft carriers to help Israel. They could even be sunk by a hypersonic missile, either now or later. In any event I see both nations ripe for judgement and sadly both falling together, and with them goes the rest of what’s left of the ‘free world‘. We are facing judgement. Then Israel will be invaded by Russia and other nations. Then Edom will gloat over his victory with the Jews in captivity and so forth.
There is an aspect of spiritual Babylon in both America and Jerusalem. In the previous article I concentrated on Mystery Babylon America. Solomon compromised, married foreign woman, worshipped other gods and brought in pagan worship into Jerusalem. In this article I will concentrate on Mystery Babylon Jerusalem. The Lord is about to shake and separate and sift his people, both within Israel and America and the nations. The leadership of Israel are also part of the New World Order, Israel is infiltrated from within just like the USA and Australia and elsewhere. The Lord is going to use this infiltration to bring judgement so that both the Jews (the house of Judah) and the 10 lost tribes of the ‘house of Israel‘ lean on Him and not the arm of flesh. The same applies to the gentiles that are called by his name.
So at some stage very soon Jerusalem shall drink the ‘cup of trembling‘. I want to talk about these scriptures that most believers ignorantly skip over, scriptures about a future captivity of the current ‘state of Israel‘ or large a portion of it. There is a prophesied ‘cup of trembling‘ that Jerusalem must drink, and drain to the very dregs of it. I will explain why the Lord Yeshua is coming back for a Jewish State that wants Him and will not allow her to play the whore and desecrate the covenant. There had to be a regathered Jewish state to occur before the second coming so that they would mourn for the one they pierced, which is the Lord ืืืื God Yeshua as described in Zechariah 12.
Meanwhile we have also got to get ourselves in order and ‘Seek the Lord’ and ‘seek meekness‘ in accordance with Zephaniah 2:3. We ‘may be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger‘ if we do this. Time is running out. Let us seek the Lord diligently lest the Lord breaks out upon us for swearing falsely by the name of the Lord. The bride must make herself ready.
Times are changing, the Lord is at the door, knocking. Can you hear Him calling you? So whether it is a false flag attack or not, the Lord allowed it, and the world has changed. When Israel is walking in obedience to Him she shall have peace and victory over her enemies.
One of the purposes of this article is to show that there is a ‘trojan horse‘ within the state of Israel that is, not only antichrist, but is anti Jewish and will even sacrifice Jews in order to further it’s wicked end times agenda. And the reason that this ‘trojan horse‘ is able to exist within the Jewish state is because of spiritual compromise that goes back to Israel and Jerusalem’s penchant for idolatry and forsaking the Lord as her husband for other gods.
No matter what is really going on under the surface, we ought to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The state of Israel is in existential danger. And it is also in a bad place spiritually, it is run as a secular state, and it is also in rebellion to the Messiah, Yeshua, and the leaders of Israel are hostile to the true owner of the Vineyard, and He will soon return. That is why the world is shaking. The Lord is coming. With the middle east in turmoil, the ‘wars and rumours of wars‘ that began with Ukraine may indeed begin to be multiplying. We have a Chinese invasion of Taiwan on the doorstep. Russia may invade Europe soon as war escalates. Russia and China and their allies including even North Korea may soon make a surprise move on the USA. Australia will be defenceless and China will muscle in down here. Safety is in Yeshua not our governments or compromised defences. When all these things begin to come to pass we need to be looking up in faith, not looking down in fear.

Introduction
Since I had such a large Preface concerning what is going on in Gaza and it’s implications for Jerusalem I will keep this Introduction short.
This talk follows on some thoughts from my previous article entitled ‘70 Years until judgement of Jerusalem & Babylon USA?‘ In that article I talked about aspects of Babylon in the USA, the ‘deep state’ and it’s role in setting up the ‘New World Order’ which is what appears in Latin under the Pyramid on the one Dollar Bill, ‘Novus Ordo Seclurum’. I talked about the end of the 70 years of spiritual bondage of Israel, and Jerusalem in particular. Even while in their own land, since their new state came into existence, Jerusalem looks to the USA for permission to do things, the nation is secular and does not follow Yeshua. I showed how that 70 year relationship began when the capital was moved to Jerusalem in 1950 and in 2020 the judgement of both nations began with the Pandemic which I suspect is the white horse of Revelation 6. If this is the case then we are about to experience the black horse and all the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse riding from now on and into 2024. I also showed how 2020 was a pivotal year due to the fact that it was 2730 years since the last deportation of the 10 lost tribes of the House of Israel into Assyria. Because the northern tribes did not repent their exile was multiplied 7 times in accordance with the curses in Leviticus 26. This exile of 2730 years is 7 times the 390 years that they were prophesied to go into exile by Ezekiel in chapter 4. They ended in 2020. Now judgement comes upon them just before the 2nd exodus. The Lord is only saving the remnant. I should have mentioned that 2020 was the 400 year anniversary of the pilgrims Mayflower. See my article from November 2020 titled ‘Is 400 years long enough in Goshen?‘.
I thus showed how judgement was coming to Israel and Babylon USA at the same time after these 70 years were completed. This judgement has already begun and it will end in exile and the reestablishment of Israel and Judah via the 2nd exodus to the wilderness.
In this article I want to look at Jerusalem as also being a form of Babylon and Mystery Babylon as I shall explain. When the cup of iniquity is full the Lord deals with his people. The use of the cup as a metaphor appears at both ends of the Bible, Genesis and Revelation, as well as the gospels and prophets. There is a connection between all these accounts of the cup or chalice or goblet. They all concern leadership and judgement. Joseph as leader hides his cup that he uses to ‘divine‘ in Benjamin’s sack to test his brethren’s heart. Jerusalem is in Benjamin’s territory. And so the cup is used later as a metaphor for Jerusalem’s judgement also. Yeshua requests that if possible His Father in Heaven would take ‘this cup‘ from Him, that is, the judgement of the cross. He takes our punishment upon Him. It is prophesied that Jerusalem will drink the ‘cup of trembling‘ and drain it to it’s ‘dregs‘. This is because Jerusalem refuses to obey the Lord and so they are forced to endure the suffering of invasion, the Antichrist and exile and death and horrible judgements amongst the nations. This is still yet to be fulfilled. Mystery Babylon also has a ‘golden cup‘ filled with abominations. There is a connection between the earthly Jerusalem and Mystery Babylon. We shall explore this here. Because of her spiritual whoredom and murder, Jerusalem is given a cup of judgement to drink, and this judgement is doubled! It’s not until Jerusalem has drunk from this doubled cup of judgement that her ‘warfare is accomplished‘ and her ‘iniquity is pardoned‘. Finally the Kingdom can come in it’s foulness to Jerusalem and ultimately to the world. Thus Joseph’s cup that was put in Benjamin’s sack represents the cup that is given to Jerusalem, so that the intents of the heart are revealed during a period of judgement. Yeshua actually made a way so that Jerusalem would not have to perish but she refused. And she still refuses. Yeshua drank the cup of our judgement.
Instead of writing a large article, I will leave the verses under the following headings with a little commentary and you can do your own research. Without repentance, Jerusalem is going to commit fornication with the kings of the earth. The city of peace is going to be the centre of the persecution of God’s people, until she repents.
Yeshua said,
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee;
Luke 13:34-35
how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
This may upset the ‘lovers of Zion‘ but there is a virulent sin infection within Jerusalem and the ‘state of Israel‘ that stems from both godlessness and religious pride and rebellion to the Torah, prophets and the Son of God. And so Jerusalem has a cup that she must drink, double strength. This sin cannot be glossed over or ignored, ‘a little leaven leavens the whole lump‘, I Corinthians 5:6, likewise this sin shall become utterly sinful, Romans 7:13, until Jerusalem is full of blood-guiltiness as Yeshua warned.

35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
The Lord is far more merciful than people realise. Once Jerusalem repents He will forgive her. But He is also far more holy than people care to know and will not pardon sin when it is not repented of. Until the earthly Jerusalem repents then she is in bondage to sin, Satan and bloodshed. We are a part of the heavenly Jerusalem. This heavenly Jerusalem is free. We should not be downcast, we should be looking up, our redemption is coming soon if we are walking in obedience. But we need to be seeking the Lord diligently and looking for His return. He wont take us if we are preoccupied and sleeping. Don’t get your Jerusalem’s confused!
Joseph’s Missing Silver Chalice or Cup
Jerusalem is located in Benjamin’s territory. Jerusalem is located between Ephraim in the north and Judah in the south. Benjamin was used as a touchstone to bring Judah & Joseph together with the other brothers. Joseph’s Silver cup that he used to ‘divine‘ was hidden in the sack of grain of the youngest son of Jacob, Benjamin.
And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack’s mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
Genesis 44:2
Later Joseph told his servants it was missing and to search the sacks. He was testing the hearts of his brethren as hopefully my readers are familiar with the story.
12 And he searched, and began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.
Genesis 44:12
Joseph want’s to see how they treat his full blood brother, will they throw him to the dogs so to speak?
15 And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?
Genesis 44:15-17
16 And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
17 And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
Joseph’s cup caused his brothers to tremble and the state of the hearts was revealed to Him. They were confronted with their sin of betrayal and selling their brother Joseph and repented.
So the Lord will likewise test Judah and the ‘House of Judah‘ once more in these end times using Jerusalem that becomes a ‘cup of trembling‘ to it’s suffering inhabitants. We will talk about that suffering from the ‘cup of trembling‘ later. He will see if they will betray the Messiah, the ‘Son of Joseph‘ again or will they repent? So in the end times Jerusalem, that dwells in Benjamin’s territory will be punished and tested. Will there be a change of heart? Yeshua of course, just like Joseph, can ‘divine‘, he already knows. But he must put Jerusalem through the furnace of affliction in order to get repentance.
According to Zechariah 12 a remnant of the House of Judah will repent, but it takes all the nations of the world coming against Jerusalem!
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:9-11
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
So it is not all bad news for Jerusalem, but they do suffer terribly. And they needn’t have, if only they believed the Torah and the Prophets that spoke of Yeshua, and repented of their hardheartedness in their betrayal of Him 2000 years earlier. But now because of repentance the Lord will fight for them and enable the most feeble to fight like David and the House of David shall fight like God, like the angel of the Lord! Wow, talk about a finale!
Father… take this Cup from Me
As stated earlier, non of Jerusalem’s end times suffering would be necessary if they repented because Yeshua already suffered for them. He had his own cup of suffering was He took the sins of the world upon himself. Naturally like any of us, He didn’t want to suffer, but He was obedient.
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Mark 14:36
Luke records it this way, just in case we missed it!
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42
Once Yeshua had prayed and submitted His will to do what His Father requested there was no going back and Yeshua was determined to drink it, to suffer for His people and the world.
Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
John 18:11
Jerusalem is yet to submit themselves to the Father and the Son, but they will, after they have suffered for their wickedness. They will drink double.
Jerusalem’s Cup of Trembling
So there is suffering coming to Jerusalem. The purpose of this article is not to disparage the Jews, neither is it to put them on a pedestal, people are people and we all have faults, myself included. There are many wonderful Jewish believers in Yeshua. Jewish people have disproportionately contributed to society and wealth creation and culture. But sin infects us all and blights creation. Religious sin can lead to the greatest cruelties as we see with the killing of the prophets and the crucifixion of the Messiah, Yeshua. Jerusalem today will experience great hardship and cruel judgement as the Lord deals with her uncircumcised heart as we have seen already in Matthew 23:32-39. The wickedness of the nations will be dealt with by the Lord, but He first must deal with His people and bring about a deep repentance.
In Ezekiel 23 the Lord likens the two capitals of the two houses of Israel & Judah as two adulterous sisters. They are Samaria and Jerusalem. The Lord however says that the cup of judgement that the capital of the House of Israel, Samaria, would have drunken was given to the capital of the House of Judah, Jerusalem. And so Jerusalem receives double judgement.
Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.
Ezekiel 23:31
This future judgement of Jerusalem, will be from the Lord, it will be drunken to the dregs, it is called, the ‘cup of his fury‘ and the ‘cup of trembling‘.
Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
Isaiah 51:17
If you want to find out about what this fury entails then read through Isaiah 51 and Ezekiel 23 for example. It entails invasion, exile, the city being burned, much death and destruction in the most cruel ways.
Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
Isaiah 51:22
Thankfully after she has received her punishment, there is hope, the Lord will restore Jerusalem and punish those that punished her.
But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
Isaiah 51:23
Zechariah 12 picks up on the ‘cup of trembling‘ that Jerusalem shall take. Once she has drained the dregs of this double judgement and repentance comes, the Lord gives the ‘cup of trembling‘ to her enemies round about that came against her.
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:2
The Lord does not delight in afflicting anyone, but if we are stubborn and rebellious then He will at some stage deal with it. If we repent then the Lord can turn things around.
Mystery Babylon’s Cup
Let’s look at some of the similarities between Jerusalem and mystery Babylon. We can see aspects of mystery Babylon within the Catholic church that has harshly persecuted bible believing Christians in the past. In fact it still does, but it does it through militias, communism, fascism and other religions, all secretly directed by the Jesuits, because the inquisition never ended. But as well as Babylon within the church there is also Babylon within Judaism and Jerusalem as I will describe. Really Judaism and Catholicism contain both some truth and some lies, they both are different faces of ‘mystery Babylon‘. Rome added paganism into the pure faith and Judaism has added traditions that nullify the torah and blasphemous talmudic statements against the Messiah, the Son of God, Yeshua. Both are drunk on the blood of the martyrs of Yeshua. I don’t want to say every Catholic or Priest wants to do bad things. I don’t want to point the finger and say every Jew or Rabbi wants to do evil, but within the Talmud, like the Catholic Church is a mixture of good and evil even great wickedness, especially concerning paedophilia, but that is another discussion. In this sense I wonder if Rome will marry Jerusalem? Has the pope secretly set up shop in Jerusalem? They like doing the same things after all. Will the Zionist Noahide laws work perfectly with a new Catholic inquisition? Let’s add Islam into the mix after World War 3. Merge it further with all the other world religions and it becomes a giant murder machine.
It is my understanding that mystery Babylon has influenced and infiltrated pretty much everything in this world including the church which is the congregation of Israel, and Jerusalem and rabbinical Judaism.
Just as Jerusalem stoned the prophets and was spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, so too is she also a form of Babylon. We see the same also applies to the USA as the previous article described. America has become what she once hated, she is becoming more poluted, more communist or fascist, take your pick, certainly more ungodly and pagan. Jerusalem also has a problem because the nation has not repented of it’s rejection of Yeshua. And Yeshua holds Jerusalem accountable so that ‘upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth‘ until such time as they turn to Him. So now we see how ‘mystery Babylon‘ applies also to Jerusalem.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Revelation 17:4-6
5 And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY,
BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints,
and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus:
and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
We are all hopefully familiar with the following words of the next chapter…
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
Revelation 18:6
Now this is striking because I am reminded of the following verse in Isaiah where Jerusalem has also been rewarded ‘double‘ for her spiritual whoredom and bloodthirsty crimes…
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins.
Isaiah 40:2
The good news for Jerusalem is that there is coming a day of complete repentance, her ‘warfare is accomplished‘ and her ‘iniquity is pardoned‘, and then the Lord can give the ‘cup of trembling‘ to her enemies and fight for her against the beast and his empire of evil. Zechariah 12 is all about her repentance and the warrior Lord God of Israel fighting for Jerusalem and fighting through his people. Then Judah shall finally shine as they ought to and destroy their enemies that hate them and the Kingdom can finally come.
But before Jerusalem repents she shall receive double for her crimes which equates her with mystery Babylon which receives the same judgement. This is a strong indication that at the very least, last days Jerusalem is guilty of the same crimes as mystery Babylon and has the same double punishment. In this sense is not the Catholic Inquisition just an offshoot of Jerusalem’s own whoredom and blood lust. When she compromised spiritually she brought the spirit of Babylon, worshipping other gods and the murder of gods people into her soul. This should not surprise us because the prophets were often castigating the leaders of Israel and the people for their spiritual compromise.
In Ezekiel 23 the two whorish sisters of Samaria and Jerusalem, the capitals of both houses of Israel and Judah, were compared. Jerusalem played the spiritual whore and became far worse that her younger sister. And her punishment was that she was to drink her sister’s cup of judgement too. That is, she was to have twice as much punishment as she deserved because the Lord was so angry with her, and her sins were so grievous.
32 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.
Ezekiel 23:32-34
33 Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.
34 Thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
So now when you read Yeshua’s words of warning concerning Jerusalem compassed with armies, you understand the context. The Lord has had a controversy with her since old testament times.
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luke 21:20-22
21 Then let them which are in Judรฆa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Yeshua’s words match those of the old testament prophets, which align with the curses of the torah, which fit with the judgement of ‘mystery Babylon‘ in the book of Revelation. Fortunately Jerusalem does eventually repent, or what is left of her repents. I do believe that there is going to be a mystery Babylon also in the land of ‘Shinar‘, in the area of ancient Babylon in Iraq, which shall be the seat of the beast system from Revelation 13 onwards, because of the prophecy in Zechariah 5. So that the Babylon in Jerusalem and in the USA and Rome moves to where it all started and has it’s last stand there as I explained in the previous article.
Conclusion
The earthly Jerusalem is still in bondage to sin but is the heavenly minded bride ready?
What is happening in the natural should be a wake up call not only to a carnal nation called Israel that is asleep in the darkness of unbelief in Yeshua, but also to a luke warm and carnal church that is asleep in the light. And it should be a wake up call to the bride that is half awake, to get ready because judgement is at the door and the Lord is coming for those that are ‘diligently‘ looking for Him. It’s not enough to have faith in Him, we must be ready when He comes on the ‘first watch’ as I have spoken previously. Why do you think He warned us so much to watch? Who is watching? And who is diligently watching?
Those that are sleeping when He comes on the first watch (when He commissions His 144,000 barley firstfruits) will have to endure much pain to secure their salvation. If they survive the four horsemen of the apocalypse they may make it to the 2nd exodus, they still wont be ‘raptured’ yet, because they were not ready. The tribulation is here if you have eyes to see it. The Lord is coming soon. Can we endure till then? Watch! Seek the Lord and live.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
Mark 13:28-37
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
31Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Don’t sleep, the Lord is coming for those watching. Wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines and pestilences are about to break forth. The Antichrist shall soon rise during this confusion. Nephilim and so called ‘Aliens’ are coming. They shall mingle amongst the seed of men. Apostasy is coming. For those sleeping, darkness is coming, gnashing of teeth is coming, a resurrection of the wicked is coming, as well as the righteous. Zombies shall bite and locusts shall sting. I have written about all of this before. The bottom line is don’t sleep, Yeshua means what He says and He is coming for a bride that is looking for Him and is diligently watching.
