The number 10 is all about God’s House, the House Rules & our Groom. The 10th Day is related to the Bride, her dowry and her coming to the Father’s House. (It is not a Catholic wedding.) The Bride is believing & obedient Israel, the ‘Israel of God’. (This include those Gentiles that will also join with them and keep the 10 commandments including the Feasts etc).
Introduction
Today (as of this writing) it is the 10th day of the 10th month, Tevet, טבת (or Tuesday the 3rd of January 2023). This is a fast day for the house of Judah because Jerusalem was besieged on this day and later the House of the Lord was destroyed by the Babylonians. God will one day turn the fasts into feasts. We fast also on the 10th day of the 7th month, the day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. Is there a connection? Yes. The number 10 is related to God’s House. It is about judgement and mercy depending on our obedience. It is related to getting a Bride for God’s Son the lamb of God! Significant things happen on the 10th day or the 10th month or the 10th hour. We know that there are 10 commandments for God’s House. The number 10 has great significance for the House of Israel & Judah and those called by His name amongst the nations. We should take note.
- A Passover Lamb was selected on the 10th day,
- We are to afflict ourselves on the 10th day,
- Jerusalem was besieged on the 10th day.
- a Queen came into the Kings House on the 10th day,
Houses are related to the 10th
The tenth day and the tenth of our increase (tithe) is related to God’s house. Jacob our Father tells us so by his actions.
And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Genesis 28:22
The Israelites selected the Lamb for their House on the tenth day.
Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Exodus 12:3
Yeshua was asked where He lived, he said, come and see on the 10th hour.
37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
John 1:37-39
38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,)
where dwellest thou?
39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
Again this is confirmation that the House is related to the number 10. (I don’t think it is coincidence that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom lives at number 10 Downing Street!) Those that keep the 10 commandments will live at the true ‘number 10’, God’s House. To keep the 10 commandments we need the pure milk of the word and be weaned. The Hebrew word for weaning is related to the word for camel, g’mal, גמל
. Rebecca accepted the wedding invitation by Isaac and returned with ‘10 camels’ after accepting two bracelets of ‘10 shekels’ weight of gold, Genesis 24:10, Genesis 24:22. Coming to God’s House is all about 10.
Queen Esther came into the Kings royal house in the ‘tenth month’.
So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
Esther 2:16
Esther is a picture of the Bride of Messiah, whose Israelite heritage was hidden until the time of trial, a picture of the tribulation and wedding of Messiah all at the same time. Vashti represents the host of heaven that fall, Haman represents Satan/Antichrist. The Blood bought Israelite bride rises as Satan falls. But a time of trouble precedes her ascension and the victory of God’s people.
10th Day & the Judgement & Salvation of God’s House
Both Mercy and Justice come to God’s House on the 10th day, Judgement Day.
10th day of the 1st Month – Mercy
Salvation came to Israel on the 10th day of the 1st month in that the Passover Lamb was to be selected. The literal Passover lamb in Egypt with the first exodus is symbolic of the Lamb of God, Yeshua that covers us in anticipation of the 2nd Exodus and rapture for the wedding. The Lamb pays the price for exiting Pharoah Satan’s house of Sin and entering Yeshua’s House, His congregation. So the 10th day begins the redemption when the Lamb is selected.
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Exodus 12:2-3
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Notice how the ‘tenth day’ is related to the ‘lamb’ and the ‘house’. It’s all about God’s House which keeps the 10 commandments by the Spirit of God. We are individually and corporately, His House.
Now that we have been purchased by God through the Sacrifice and blood of His Son, we are to be ready to enter Canaan. But in order to spiritually fight we need our flesh to be put to death. This is illustrated by the covenant of circumcision which is literally the covenant of the word, ‘brit milah’.
And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.
Joshua 4:19
So God is going to remove the carnal from amongst us and deal with our proud flesh if we don’t do it. This will happen before we enter Canaan. Let’s deal with it now in our own lives. Let us humble ourselves now. Don’t wait for the sword of the enemy to do it. They will cut more than a little piece of flesh off us. Let’s humble ourselves now. Let us examine ourselves…
And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
Ezra 10:16
10th day of the 7th Month – Justice
Six months after the 10th day of the 1st month comes judgement and marriage.
In Leviticus we are instructed to keep the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur which occurs on the 10th day of the 7th month. We are to afflict our souls.
And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
Leviticus 16:29
The book of numbers repeats this but gives added details of the sacrificial offerings. There is also an inference of mercy to the remnant of the 70 nations because 70 bulls are sacrificed (but we don’t have time to talk about that here).
And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
Numbers 29:7
In the book of Revelation we are told that the Lord has eyes like a flame of fire, Revelation 1:14, 2:18, 19:12. Fire represents the jealousy of the groom.
How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever?
Psalms 79:5
shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
Fire also represents the jealousy of the Bride!
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
Song of Solomon 8:6
Anyway we are reminded of the Jealousy because Leviticus also tells us that on the Day of Atonement we are making an offering by fire even when afflicting ourselves.
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Leviticus 23:27
But there is good news for the Bride of Messiah that keep His commandments and the testimony of Yeshua, both Israel & Judah. For we read that there will be a Jubilee. Every 50 years there is to be a setting free of the captives in the seventh month.
Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Leviticus 25:9
If this is the year then in 7 months we are free. But we also have a great deal of martyrdom before this. If my time-frame is wrong then we shall soon know. Do I want all the bad stuff to happen? No! Do I want things to drag on longer? No! Even so come Lord Yeshua.
We can be encouraged even in a time of judgement
May we both be warned and encouraged, afflicted with godly sorrow and excited with great godly excitement, the Lord is coming and His reward is with Him to give to every man according to what he has done.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
I Peter 4:17
Judgement can also be good, if we pass the test of true devotion and faith. As everything that can be shaken is shaken, that which cannot be shaken will remain, Hebrews 12:27. See previous article ‘Kislev 24th – Foundation, Earthquakes & the 4 Horsemen’ for details. Let us meekly look to the crucified Lamb, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, for mercy and grace in this time of judgement. Our bodies and our congregations are God’s House, His Temple, I Corinthians 3:17, 6:19, Ephesians 2:21-22. The Lord stands at the door and knocks, Revelation 3:2, but he wont be knocking for too much longer, because soon the door of the Ark of Salvation will be closed and they shall knock but He wont answer because they refused His warnings and instruction, Luke 13:25.
When the enemy comes in like a flood God will raise up a standard against him, Isaiah 59:19. But the priests job is to sound the Silver Trumpet and gather the Elders and people.
2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
Numbers 10:2-5
3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4 And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
5 When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
We are given examples of times when the trumpet of alarm was sounded in Israel’s history. If they were obedient they knew what to do.
If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.
II Chronicles 20:9
I believe that full on persecution will start before Passover this year and Pentecost may see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as our cities are destroyed with Palmtrees of Smoke, Joel . We shall see. Birthpangs are already here and shall soon be felt more deeply.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke (literally ‘Palmtrees of smoke’,תִֽימֲרוֹת עָשָׁן).
Joel 2:30
The very destruction of the North Country called North America, the Babylon of the 2nd Exodus is also the very salvation of the Bride. A journey will soon begin.
Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, (תִֽימֲרוֹת עָשָׁן) perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
Song of Solomon 3:6
Get ready to move your tent pegs next year I feel. This is not a time to fear man, but to fear God. We should all sound the shofar and lift up our voices and fast. One day our fasts will become feasts.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
Zechariah 8:19
The fast of the fourth month,
and the fast of the fifth,
and the fast of the seventh,
and the fast of the tenth,
shall be to the house of Judah
joy and gladness,
and cheerful feasts;
therefore love the truth and peace.
They are not feasts yet, but they will be soon. But for now let us pray and fast when possible and seek the Lord individually and corporately. The prayers of the saints came before the Lord as incense.
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Revelation 8:3-4
May the Bride of Messiah give off a good perfume for her groom.
While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
Song of Solomon 1:12
This is all prophetic, God hears our prayers, now is the time to seek His face. The Lord is looking for His Bride amongst the nations. He will rescue her. She is recognised by her smell. Are we seeking Him, are our prayers ascending to Him as incense?
Judgement comes to God’s House on the 10th day but it may be a good judgement if we are found worthy to escape all these things and stand before the Son of Man.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:36
Notice that prayer is involved in escaping all these things (not guns & ammunition). Prayer is the incense of the Bride. This is a spiritual war first. The groom is looking for His Bride & Satan is hoping to destroy her. We need to be watchful otherwise we do not qualify for the promise. Prayer is the incense that draws the groom Yeshua. The True Bride will be watching and praying.

The Babylonian Invasion
10th day of the 10th Month – Jerusalem Besieged
Due to the House of Judah’s disobedience the Lord used the King of Babylon to invade Jerusalem and exile her people. It is not without reason that he came on the ‘tenth day’ of the ‘tenth month’. God was saying something. Judah had broken their vows and been unfaithful. They were not divorced, even though they deserved it, but they were exiled. They had broken his covenant and the 10 commandments and the Lord made that clear from the very date the invasion began.
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
II Kings 25:1
We read this also in Jeremiah.
In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
Jeremiah 39:1
And we read it here also…
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
Jeremiah 52:4
The prophet Ezekiel also records it.
1 Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
Ezekiel 24:1-2
So the covenant was broken and the house rules were trashed by Judah and the Lord punished them for it. However despite their sins, He brought some of them back after 70 years.10th day of the 5th Month – Temple Burned
It is not by accident that the 10th day of the 5th month that the House of the Lord, His Temple was destroyed. God was saying something. It was His fingerprint on the judgement because the 10th day represented the covenant being broken and the house rules being transgressed and so the the House of God was burnt with fire due to the Lord’s anger. God had in fact put up with a great deal of sin before He had finally had enough.
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar–adan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem, 13 And burned the house of the LORD, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:
Jeremiah 52:12-13
Again we see that the 10th day is about houses and God’s house in particular. When God’s house burns so do all the houses burn. Let us humbly fear the Lord יהוה
.
So this is why the elders gathered to the prophet Ezekiel on the 10th day of the 5th month, because this was when the House of God, the Temple was burned with fire by the Babylonians.
Ezekiel 20:1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.
The destruction of Jerusalem is related to the 10th day or month also.
And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
Ezekiel 33:21
The Lord remembers dates and visited the prophets with dreams or visions or spoken words on specific dates because He is faithful. Although God brings judgement He also is merciful and remembers His covenant.
In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.
Ezekiel 40:1
Are we not blessed to have such a loving and Holy Father in Heaven, that keeps His promises? This same one that brought judgement to ancient Israel also brought them back. Our Lord will also bring judgement upon our nations but will also bring a remnant back to Zion.
By the way, the day before is the Jewish fast called ‘Tisha b’Av‘ the fast of the 9th day of the 5th month called Av, to remember and Atone for the sin that caused the temple to be burned. A lack of brotherly love caused both temples to be destroyed on the same day. Perhaps the Rabbis should reexamine their baseless hatred of Yeshua before they make a pact with the devil to build a temple made by hands. Jerusalem’s covenant with death shall be annulled, Isaiah 28. They are still in the Spirit of Antichrist, selling Joseph to Pharaoh instead of laying their lives down for Him. But the remnant of Judah shall understand, they are those that tremble at His Word. We are coming into a time where the true Israel of God will tremble. God save the King, great David’s greater son, the son of Joseph, Yeshua. And the Father saved Him and He rose from the dead because he had done no sin.
1st day of the 10th Month – On Top of the World
The book of Genesis gives us rest on the matter of the judgement by flood because we read that the Ark rested on the Mount Ararat on the 17th day of the 7th month, exactly 5 months to the day from when the flood began. This is prophetic for the time period of the flight of the woman to the wilderness as I will explain.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
Genesis 8:4-6
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
The Ark represents the believers that survive the first half of the tribulation. Believing Israel, the woman in Revelation 12 is rescued from the Dragon Satan. They are taken to the wilderness of the People, Ezekiel 20:35. There they receive the New Covenant and a resurrection body and the marriage which occurs in the 7th month. This could be this year! We shall see. But we shall see our nations burn by about Pentecost if this is the year.
Just as Elijah ran from Jezebel for 40 days and nights so shall the remnant of Israel escape the fall of Satan and His Angels that shall also fall for 40 days and nights as foretold by the account of Noah’s flood. Noah’s flood is symbolic for the end time exodus as is the flight of Elijah. Where did Elijah go? To mount Horeb, which is Sinai. That is the wilderness of the people. We are about to go on a journey called the 2nd exodus.
Before we leave we are going to have a huge persecution in our once christian nations. I believe it takes hold before Passover this year if this is the year. I believe the shaking is already beginning. I am expecting physical earthquakes to accompany this period of travail, this time of sorrows as Matthew 24 declares.
The 10th month is not only about judgement of God’s House, like when the King of Babylon invaded Jerusalem, it is also about the rescue of God’s House, His People! The Ark rested on Mount Ararat on the 17th day of the 7th month and by the 1st day of the 10th month the tops of the mountains were seen.
Our God is a covenant keeper. It’s no longer about America, Australia, Great Britain etc. It’s about us. It is about His Kingdom. It’s about His House at the real Number 10.
