Parsha – Shemot – 3 Days Journey

This is a very short parsha commentary linking the exodus to the resurrection, the 2nd exodus and the wedding of the Bride of Messiah. Many do not understand how the 2nd exodus is closely coupled to various ‘raptures‘, plural, and the physical resurrection of the righteous and the wicked during the tribulation. This is separate from the resurrection of the wicked at the ‘great white throne’ judgement in Revelation 21:11-15. There will be a resurrection of the ‘evil dead‘ very soon. But the righteous will be delivered. There is triumph coming for the righteous, and glory. The righteous will shine during the time of travail. I want to quickly emphasise this here while you read the parsha for this week. The 2nd exodus will soon begin for us, along with the resurrection of the wicked and the righteous just as ‘Zion‘ leaves the Egypt of our nations for the wilderness. That is why the bad guys are rising up, to make their stand and set up the beast system. A new Pharaoh, the Antichrist going to rise up as the world is engulfed in war. We know what happened to Pharaoh. There is pain coming, there is death coming, but there is also new birth, exodus and life from the dead. The Lord is about to put on a show, and we are going to meet our God very soon.

My main question for us to ponder in this parsha is why is the first request to leave Egypt by Moses to Pharaoh to mention a 3 day journey? Why not just say, look mate, we hate working for you, the ‘pay is crumby‘, the conditions are awful and we’re leaving because God said so? But Moses didn’t say that did he? He was instructed to say the following with the ‘elders of Israel‘.

And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

Exodus 3:18

God wanted to demonstrate his power before a proud and unbelieving world back then.

We know what happened, after the 10th plague Pharaoh let them go on Passover and later changed his mind and pursued them and was drowned in the red sea.

The Israelites were told to put the blood of a lamb upon the lintels and doorposts of their houses. This of course was prophetic, the Lord, יהוה, signifying to His people that the Lamb of God would save them through his blood shed on the cross. And of course many will have made the connection that Yeshua was raised on the third day.

Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

But there is more to this parsha story that is yet to be fulfilled including the regathering of Israel & Judah in the last days.

For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

Romans 11:15

Firstly the 10 lost tribes of the house of Israel must identify themselves in the last days and come together, bone by bone, sinew upon sinew according to Ezekiel 37. In the previous parsha at the end of Genesis 50, Joseph commanded his bones be taken to the promised land. This is a prophetic shadow of what Ezekiel 37 talks about, the valley of dry bones. The lost tribes are already awakening to their identity. However many will perish as discussed in last weeks parsha, ‘Parsha – Vayechi – Messianic Movement, Carnal & almost Dead before 2nd Exodus?‘.

The three day journey is a picture of the resurrection of Yeshua. And it is a metaphor for leaving Egypt, by new birth, spiritually as well as physically. It is also connected to the birth of a nation, not only in the past when they left Egypt for the promised land, but in the last days…

After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Hosea 6:2

What many people fail to realise is the close connection between the 2nd exodus and the resurrection as stated earlier. The key is when we link Daniel 12 to Revelation 12. I have spoken of this before but I want to underline it in this short study since we are in the parsha that begins the ‘three day journey‘. The mention of the travail and the Arch Angel Michael in these two chapters is the key that links the resurrection of the righteous and the wicked to the 2nd exodus.

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Daniel 12:1-3

So Michael stands up for Israel during a ‘time of trouble‘, עֵת צָרָה. The word for ‘trouble‘, צָרָה, is also translated ‘distress‘ or ‘tribulation‘ etc. It is the same word as used in Jeremiah 30:7 referring to the ‘time of Jacob’s trouble‘. So this is the tribulation period and we are told in Daniel 12:2 that ‘many‘ of them that ‘sleep in the dust‘ shall be raised, some to ‘shame and everlasting contempt‘ and some to ‘everlasting life‘. So from this we know that there is a general resurrection of the righteous of the wicked during the tribulation. Not all are raised, but ‘many‘! This is not taught in bible school or at the local baptist church on the corner, but it is a fact of scripture. This is not the great white throne judgement of Revelation 21, it is one when Michael is fighting for Israel. And we see that this fighting is mentioned in Revelation 12. The ‘wise‘ will ‘shine‘ and the wicked will be grotesque according to 2 Baruch. But let’s read Revelation 12. The woman is ‘Zion‘, Isaiah 66, which is the ‘church of the firstborn‘, Hebrews 12. She is in pain, but she is shining, she is in holiness and the glory of God is upon her and the Dragon Satan is waiting to devour her man child which she gives birth. But he is taken to heaven and she escapes to the wilderness.

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Revelation 12:1-4

Satan wants to destroy the promised seed, his enmity is against the seed of the woman. Genesis 3:15. He tried to destroy the promised deliverer Moses and the Messiah Yeshua as babies. And He wants to kill the 144,000 manchild company because they are a threat to him as they will help deliver their mother, Zion.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up <Harpazo, ἁρπάζω> unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

Revelation 12:5-8

So Daniel 12 ties into Revelation 12 (and Isaiah 66) when a nation is born in one day. Michael delivers Zion when in travail in both of these cases. Compare Isaiah 66 here…

7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:

Isaiah 66:7-10

Now where do the ‘evil dead‘ raised in Daniel 12 get a mention in Revelation 12? The answer is the water that comes out of the dragons mouth…

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Revelation 12:13-16

The water are peoples and nations, Revelation 17:15, but they are the peoples and nations that died and were reanimated! They are zombies that died and were raised to life. That is where the vaccine fits into Satan’s plan. There will be a switch that will be thrown and Satan will suddenly kill them via the nano technology within them and raise them up as his demonic horde to try and prevent Zion escape Babylon USA and the other nations she dwells in. But she speedily makes her escape with angelic help on the wings of eagles.

The water which are the evil dead including zombies are killed by being swallowed by the earth. So the evil dead don’t stay alive long.

So I know I have mentioned these things often lately but I want to tie this into todays parsha, Shemot, Because the 2nd Exodus is deeply related to the resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked that occurs during this period of travail or tribulation for Zion, and Shemot is merely a dress rehearsal. I think this will begin to occur from the time of the flood on the the 17th or 27th of the 2nd Hebrew month, between Passover and Pentecost. There is a 50 day countdown. Notice in verse 8 that there is a resurrection and the birth of a nation at the same time. The majority of the church, including Messianics are by no means ready for a rapture, they are not walking sufficiently in holiness to qualify. I am not speaking proudly when I say that, there is just so much carnality amongst us. Those that ascend must have clean hands and a pure heart, Psalms 24:4, as I have discussed before in previous articles. But some will qualify for rescue via the 2nd exodus, those written in the book of life. Most Christians think that believing in Jesus is enough to qualify and you can live any old how. However Yeshua is coming for those that a humble, holy, ready and watching. The rest will go through travail, some more, some less. Yeshua warns His people to be ready and watching for His return for a reason. Those ready will go into the wedding. Those not ready will endure the 2nd exodus. Those not ready for that will endure the full blown beast system if they survive at all.

God will rescue His remnant just like He did in Egypt through Moses years ago, that was the little exodus. This last days 2nd exodus that is coming very, very soon is much, much grander, as the events leading to it are far more supernatural, demonic and terrifying. Moses came down the mountain and his face was shining. But in the 2nd exodus there is the manchild company (the 144,000) and others that will be in their immortal resurrection bodies. This is more like supermen. They are the firstfruits of the resurrection. And so the ‘three days journey‘ alludes to this.

The ‘three days journey‘ is not only related to the 2nd exodus and the resurrection, it is also related to the marriage itself.

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

John 2:1

Remember Yeshua changed water into wine. How many stone water pots were there? There were 6, because this represents man, made in God’s image, the new wine skin has new wine, the new covenant comes in it’s fullness, which includes a resurrection body to contain the glory of God. So there is a marriage, and the ‘third day‘ is related to this. This gives us the big picture of what the 3 days journey is all about.

  • exodus
  • resurrection & rapture (caught up to heaven)
  • marriage

I see a heavenly wedding for those who ascend, and there seem to be 3 times when people are called depending on their readiness. These are the 3 times the males are to appear before the Lord as I have described in previous articles, Exodus 23:17, Deuteronomy 16:16. These relate to the 3 harvests of barley, wheat and summer fruit.

We are told in Luke 12:35-42 about 3 watches where the Lord could return from the wedding. So not everyone is invited. And there are different groups of people that come, there is the bride herself and guests.

There is much more I could say, but you’ve got the main idea, what you are reading in Parsha Shemot alludes to the future 2nd exodus, raptures, manchild 144,000 and marriage because the three day journey and the 3rd day are all related to these ideas in scripture. And these events are very closely related in time, in the time of Revelation 12 as described. So when you are reading the book of Exodus, you are seeing a shadow of what is to come very shortly.

If you don’t know Yeshua as your Saviour, now would be a good time to repent and be baptised. The clock is ticking.

Shalom, blessings & love
in Yeshua HaMashiach
