Learning a language isn’t easy. And if you want to learn, you need the time and mental energy and the God given desire, to push on.
The older we get the harder it gets, generally. I’m not saying this to get you down, just saying it as it is.
I don’t want you to waste your time. It’s a real commitment. Doable, but you need a great deal of desire to push through with it.
But if the older folks can learn the Hebrew Letters and a few words, then they can still do wonders by encouraging the grand children to learn. Kids love to do stuff that is fun, and they love to sing. I am amazed at how quickly children pick things up. Especially with the Aleph-Bet song to hum along too. I have seen grandchildren really excited to learn Hebrew so I ain’t maken’ it up folks. So you may not be able to learn Hebrew overnight if you getting on in years, or busy, but you can learn the Hebrew Letters and get the children going. How about having a go.

By the way I have seen older folks learn the language – it really is just a matter of God given desire, and the grace of God. Some can, some can’t and many just wont.
