Israel gets criticized for making progress as usual.
Israel pays a high price for not stating outright that it trusts in God rather than man, that it looks to the guardian of Israel instead of the United Nations or America. And so because of this the world thinks that their godless opinion actually counts for something in the grand scheme of things. They treat Israel and Jerusalem as just a piece of real estate. When Israel builds anything in East Jerusalem and the biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria it is front page news. So nothing is new. But the nations are making more and more noise as they become weaker and Israel becomes stronger. As Israel slowly turns towards Heaven, the nations are turning towards Sodom and Hell. So not much to report except it’s becoming more and more obvious that the nations are obsessed with controlling Israel.
Here are three notable highlights for the week that was that illustrate the World’s obsession with Israel, the biblical heartland and Jerusalem…
British Schools to Exclude Hebrew as Foreign Language

First Publish: 12/18/2012, 12:13 AMThe British government is planning to exclude Hebrew from its list of officially recognized languages for primary schools, in a move that could damage Jewish education in the country, the Jewish Chronicle (JC) reported.
Education Minister Elizabeth Truss announced plans last month to make it compulsory to teach a foreign language to children aged seven to eleven, thus requiring schools to offer at least one of only seven recognized languages, excluding Hebrew.
According to the newspaper, many Jewish primary schools, which have to fit in Jewish studies alongside the national curriculum, currently offer Hebrew as their only foreign language and would find it impossible to continue teaching it if they were compelled to offer another foreign language as well.
Laura Marks, the senior vice president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, told the JC that the government proposal could be “extremely detrimental to our community’s identity.” Language, including modern and classical Hebrew, is “a vital ingredient to understanding our faith and culture,” she said.
Marks urged the government “to reject the idea of stipulating just a narrow range of languages.”
Four years ago, a Jewish Leadership Council report urged all Jewish schools to teach Hebrew and said that it was “disappointing” that some had preferred French as their foreign language.
Israel approves settlement plans despite EU condemnation
20 Dec 2012 09:46 – Sapa-AFPIsrael has approved plans for the construction of 523 homes in the southern West Bank in the first step towards creating a new settlement city, the local settler council said on Thursday.
“After years, we are happy to announce that the government of Israel has decided to build a city in Gush Etzion,” David Perel, head of the Gush Eztion regional council, told AFP, saying the defence ministry had approved plans for 523 homes in Gevaot settlement.
The European Union said it “strongly opposes” the latest “extremely troubling” Israeli plans for more settler homes around Jerusalem which would only further undermine the peace process.
The original plan, announced in December was to build 2 610 houses in the Givat Hamatos settlement, along with the 1 500 in Ramat Shlomo. EU foreign affairs head Catherine Ashton said this would effectively cut Bethlehem off from Jerusalem.
“I strongly oppose this unprecedented expansion of settlements around Jerusalem,” Ashton said in a statement early Thursday.
EU condemnation
“The EU particularly opposes the implementation of plans which seriously undermine the prospects of a negotiated resolution of the conflict by jeopardising the possibility of a contiguous and viable Palestinian state and of Jerusalem as the future capital of two states.“In the light of its core objective of achieving the two-state solution, the EU will closely monitor the situation and its broader implications, and act accordingly,” she said.
Ashton called again for both sides to show the leadership required to get the peace process back on track.
Earlier, the United Nations and UN Security Council condemned Israel’s moves.
The United States, Israel’s close ally, did not join the public attack on Israel but slammed the “provocative” act during closed UN Security Council consultations.
Israel has approved thousands of new homes in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem since the UN General Assembly voted on November 29 to recognise Palestine as a non-member state. – Sapa-AFP
22 UN General Assembly Resolutions Targeted Israel This Year, 4 for Rest of World

By the end of this week the current 2012 UNGA session will have adopted 22 country-specific resolutions targeting Israel – and only four on the rest of the world combined, one each for Syria, Iran, North Korea and Burma, according to UN Watch.
On Tuesday alone The U.N. General Assembly adopted nine resolutions on ”Palestinian rights and the Golan,” sharply criticizing Israel yet making no mention of Sunday’s massacre of Palestinian Arabs by Syrian warplanes firing missiles into a mosque in a refugee camp near Damascus.
On the UN Watch’s website Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, underscored the absurdity of the resolution tally. “The U.N.’s disproportionate assault against the Jewish state undermines the credibility of what is supposed to be an impartial and respected international body, and exposes the sores of politicization and selectivity that eat away at its founding mission, eroding the U.N. Charter promise of equal treatment to all nations large and small,” he said.
“With more than 40,000 killed in Syria, and millions of Syrian refugees suffering now in the cold of winter, it ought to shock the conscience of mankind that the U.N. will devote more than 80 percent of this session’s resolutions to Israel, and just one, on Thursday, to Syria.”
Today the UN is set to adopt a resolution ratifying all of the 2012 resolutions and decisions of its subsidiary, the 47-nation Human Rights Council. Among them is the appointment in March of Alfred de Zayas to the council as an “Independent Expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order.”
De Zayas has written extensively on World War II, inverting history by placing the allies in the terror camp while becoming an apologist for Nazi crimes. His writings have endeared him to many Holocausr deniers.
Other insulting statements include:
• “Moses had such a rough time bringing the Jewish people across the Red Sea because half of them were busy picking up pretty shells.”
• “Israel emerged out of terrorism against the indigenous population” and its representatives should be denied U.N. accreditation.
