It’s the time of the counting of the Omer as we move towards Pentecost (Shavuot) and the receiving of the Torah by the Holy Spirit. So let’s focus on higher things for a while.

Although I have put this 10losttribes.com website together to try to inform Christians and Messianics about prophetic matters in our immediate future, it is not what ultimately drives me.

I want to change pace and discuss heavenly things that are related to the joining of the lost tribes and Judah in the last days. These topics will focus on aspects of the temple’s design and how that describes the relationship between the nation of Israel and the Church (Adat Israel) and the Bride and the Groom.

This I hope will be be of great benefit to all. It will help to show what the good Lord has been doing these past 2000 years and what we are a part of and why things are the way they are and where it is heading. It all goes back to the Garden of Eden and to our place in our Father’s House.

We don’t have much time left before things start to get really really serious as our nations head full steam into World War 3 and destruction. But I hope to lay some groundwork on where things are going from a heavenly perspective. So I want to talk about spiritual things.

As of this writing we are currently in the time period between Passover (Pesach) and Pentecost (Shavuot). This is the time period that the children of Israel left Egypt to receive the Torah on Mount Sinai. It was a time of ascent encompassing 50 days. During this time we are commanded to count the Omer one day at a time. As we count upwards each day from 1 to 50 we are symbolically rising to receive the Torah.

Let us then turn our heads from the contamination of the ‘Egypt of this world’ and look to the Lamb of God that leads us to our Father’s House.

Now you see what’s coming, lets look where we are going!

If you are travelling along the road in a car as a passenger with a friend, you may talk about all sorts of things along the way. But if that person fails to see a truck coming in the opposite direction you will do everything you can to get them to turn the wheel before they paint the road with their blood and yours!

That is why I have spent most of my time so far just laying out what is coming straight for us at high speed, that is, World War 3 and the raising up of the 10 lost tribes of the ‘House of Israel‘.

Now that I have done that I have done that to some degree I want to concentrate on matters that will be a little bit more enlightening and edifying. I want to concentrate on the heavenly things, spiritual things, the things above.

The Apostle Paul states that to Law is spiritual. But most Christians shudder as soon as the word ‘Law’ or ‘Torah’ are mentioned. This is just a lack of maturity. The reasons that Christians do not understand that the Law is spiritual is the same reasons Jews cannot find Messiah. We are both carnal and sold as captives of sin.

Paul puts it this way,

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Romans 7:14

The Torah light shines forth and as a school master points us to the Messiah, Yeshua. Yet even as believers we see through a glass darkly if we see at all.

But the Lord wants us to be mature and seek Him and dwell in the Light. We not only should see the heavenly things, the spiritual things, we are actually commanded to set our minds and affections on such things. Why? Because that is where Messiah is and we are to have our eyes set firmly on Him.

The entire Torah and the rest of the word of God is actually about the heavenly realm which is our true birth place and home if we are born from above. We were born physically on this earth, but if we are from above it is not where we began! And it is not where we are heading either. We are heading back to where we came from if we are from above, from the Heavenly Jerusalem.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Colossians 3:1-11

For two thousand years the Messiah has been wearing Greek clothes. The church (Adat Israel) has so focussed on the heavenly things that they have disregarded some important commandments. We need to keep his commandments including the Sabbaths, Feasts and Torah. And we must also keep firm grasp on the higher things.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:3-7

15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 1:15-23

The New Testament scriptures focus on this heavenly reality. And it focusses on our hearts and their purification. In the book of Proverbs God says “my son give me your heart”.  We are all involved in this process. And as we begin to give the father our heart, he begins to open his word to us.

Thankfully God’s word is really one united book. And when you study Torah you are really studying the higher things.

We will look at these higher things over the next month or so as we head upwards to Shavuot (Pentecost).
